Wings of Fire One Shots

Glorybringer part 2

Glory decided to challenge Deathbringer and see if he could handle Rainforest obstacles as well as she could. If he claims that he could be "precise" on anything, then Glory would ALWAYS test him on it.

She flew in camouflage and twisted around vines, branches, cobwebs. After finding a great place to hide, she changed to look like the texture of a boulder and sat up tall. Surely, Deathbringer would not be able to find her... she hoped.

Deathbringer nearby Glory and she held her breath. He looked around before turning away and she let out her breath. Phew, he didn't see me! Glory thought with relief and triumph.

Just as Glory finished her thought, Deathbringer's ears pricked up. He had heard her breath and now he was facing the boulder again. A small smirk came upon his face as he knew what would make Glory appear. 

He grabbed a small tree frog nearby and Glory kept a shriek of fear from coming out. Deathbringer threw the tree frog at the boulder. Fortunately, Glory had moved silently behind the boulder and the tree frog hit the side of the boulder just her tail moved.

Frowning, Deathbringer saw that the frog was not floating in mid air. So, he did another try but in a sneakier spot. "She has to be here somewhere. I heard her, I know she's here!" Deathbringer muttered to himself. 

He slid into the bushes and thought that maybe she would be behind the boulder. Still hidden in the bushes, he threw another tree frog at the huge rock. It hit Glory and she turned a vibrant green. 

Deathbringer jumped out and shouted triumphantly, "HA! I FOUND YOU! I TOLD YOU THAT I WOULD FIND YOU!"

Glory turned a shade of red as she growled. "Why did you have to choose a TREE FROG?! You know I hate tree frogs! They're so... so sticky and extremely slimy! Why do you do this to me EVERY time we do a hide and seek contest?" 

Deathbringer gave her his signature smug smile. "Because I know that you'll turn a green and then it is very easy to spot you. Yes, I know, BIG brains!"

Just saying that, Glory whacked him on the head with her tail. BIG brains?! Deathbringer was always doing something stupid! Let alone angering a queen! Glory growled and she walked away, muttering to herself about how annoying Deathbringer was.

Deathbringer couldn't help it. He needed to listen in on the conversation and he couldn't help but to smother a laugh. Glory whipped her head around and saw Deathbringer laughing at her. 

"What?! Why- why are you laughing at me?" Glory asked, extremely aggravated. 

"Awww, does the Queen of the RainWings and NightWings not like being snooped on?" Deathbringer cooed. 

"Deathbringer... I SWEAR I WILL SMACK YOU ON THE HEAD WITH MY TAIL IF YOU DON'T SHUT UP AND LEAVE ME ALONE!" Glory shouted at him. She raised her tail threateningly but Deathbringer wasn't buying the threat and he just simply kissed her on the lips.

Glory froze and Deathbringer knew right then and there that he had just caught Glory off guard (which was rare when she was around him). Glory lowered her tail and she felt her emotions take over and she pressed back. 

But all too soon, Glory snapped back to her on-guard self and smacked Deathbringer on the head with his tail. Deathbringer laughed as he rubbed his head with his talon. "What was THAT for?"

"Because I told you to shut up and leave me alone and you didn't. So, you received your consequence." Glory said simply before she walked off towards her hut.

Deathbringer smiled and followed Glory, not caring what she said about smacking him on the head. He liked bothering the queen and there was nothing that was going to stop him from doing just that. 

I have finally gotten to Glorybringer part 2! Sorry it's been a while. I was super busy over the summer and I am super busy at school now too. Let me know if you have any WoF ship suggestions (canon or fanon - either is fine)! Have a good day/night! :)
