Chapter eight

You shuddered, walking into the daycare and closing the doors behind you.

"Hello, starlight. What's wrong? You look frightened." Moon hummed, wrapping his arms around you.

"It's nothing, moony. Don't worry about it." You sighed, leaning onto him. "Hm, alright, but if anyone is bothering you, you tell us, alright?" He cupped your chin, making you look up at him.

"I know, baby! No one's bothering me. C'mere." You hugged him into your chest, flopping on the beanbag.

He smiled, leaning on you and purring. "Pffft." You placed a hand over your mouth.

"What?" He looked up at you. "You purr?" You giggled. "Shut up." He grumbled, burying his face in your chest.

"Sun, I gotta go! We're out of milk!" You yelled. "Noooooooo! I hear what the kids talk about! You're not gonna come backkkkkkk!" He cried.

"Sun, I am going to the store!" You pushed him away.

"Noooooo! Get back here!" He pulled you into a tight hug.

"Sunny!" You wiggled.

"No! I love you! And that means you're never ever getting rid of meeeeeeee!" He declared, burying his face in your neck.

Sunny's pov

Y/n's back must've been hurting or something because they kept grabbing at their back and stuff.

"Ah! Hey sun, do you do massages or something?" They asked suddenly. I perked up.

"How'd you know, sunbeam? C'mere!" I pulled them into my lap and started rubbing their shoulders softly.

"Mmmmm, yeah, that's good. Thanks, Sunny."  They sighed.

"No problem, sunbite." I hummed, working my hands lower. Wait a second.

I could feel myself starting to heat up.

"My, my, sun. Taking after me with those thoughts~"

"Don't be ridiculous! That's you! Stop it!"

"Thanks, sunny. I'm gonna go take a shower." They kissed my cheek and got up, walking away.

"Okay, sunshine! Have a good shower! I mean, uh-" I buried my face in my hands.

"Thanks, sunny." They laughed.

"Smooth."

"Shut up!"

I grabbed my sock puppets. I smiled. I love y/n so much, I had to make one of them.

"Hey, y/n!" "Hey, sunny!" I mimicked their pretty voice.

"I love you so much, y/n! Wanna get married?" "Yes!"

"Yay! Now we can have a billion kids!" "Ok!" "Mwah! Mwah! Mwah!"

"WHA- What are you doing?"

"What's so funny? I'm playing with my puppets." I grumbled.

"You- *wheeze* oh, this is too good."

"What? Can't a pretty boy play with his puppets?" I smirked.

"Oh, my god. They call you that one time and I never hear the end of it."

"Whatever, moon! You're just jealous that they didn't call you that! Sorry I'm prettier than you."

"Why you- you are SO lucky we're not separate."

"Sun, you okay?"

I quickly hid the puppets.

"Y- yep, never better, sunshine- oh." I could feel myself starting to overheat. They were only in a towel.

"Are you? You look... sick, I guess."

"You look like you want that towel gone~"

"I said shut up, moon!"

"I'm fine, y/n." I blushed, turning away from them.

"Okay." They shrugged, walking to their room.

"I said shut up, moon! Stop with the... thoughts!"

"Hate to break it to you, but those are all YOURS."

"Impossible! I'd never think of such things!"

I heard movement behind me and I glanced around. I saw something. It looked like a giant rabbit.

"What?"

"I don't know. I thought I saw something. It's probably nothing." I shook my head.

"Don't change the subject!"

"I'm not!"
