Chapter five

As soon as the lights turned on sun jumped up.

"Gosh, I'm sorry, sunshine! I just don't like it when he comes out and I was scared he'd-"

"Hey! It's okay. You're okay, sun. But moon did tell me something I need to ask you about." You grabbed his hand.

"Oh." He said in a dreadful voice, looking down.

"Sun, is it true that you like me?" You asked, lifting his chin to look at you.

"...Yes." He hid his face in his hands, his sun rays spinning rapidly.

"Damn, that was easy."

"Sunny, I like you too."

He looked up at you with smiling eyes. "You... YOU DO?!"

He leaped into your arms, littering kisses all over your face.

"Mwah! Mwah! Mwah!" He appeared to have a habit of over exaggerating the "mwah!" sound in kisses.

"I'm so happy, sunbeam!" He kissed your nose again, making that loud "mwah!" Sound.

"...Oh! Moon wants to know if you like him too!" He said after a moment.

"Hmmm, I will, experiment with him since I don't know him as well as I know you." You said.

"He said he likes the sound of that! Whatever that means. Hey, hey, can I have cuddles? Please, please, please, pleaseeeeee?" He gave you puppy eyes.

"Sure, sunny." You chuckled, holding out your arms. "Yippeeeeee!" He leaped into your arms again.

He snuggled into your neck, laughing giddily. You took his hand in yours, kissing it softly. You could feel him starting to become warmer. You wrapped your arm around his waist and pulled him a little closer. He smiled up at you, pressing his nose on yours. You giggled, kissing his cheek. He squeaked, hiding his face again.

It was so cute. He could get flustered so easily.

"Come on, sun! I'm dating both of you, aren't I? I wanna see moon too!" You exclaimed as sun guarded the light switch.

"B- but I don't wanna leaveeeee!" He whined.

"Dammit, sun! Just turn off the lights! They're my partner too. Didn't we agree that you get to see them in the day, and I get to see them at night?"

"But I- nooooooooo!" He cried. "Sun, I'll still be here when you get back. I just wanna talk to him, okay, love?" You cupped his face.

"Hm, ok." He sighed, switching the lights off.

You nervously but eagerly waited for their transformation to finish.

"Hello, starlight. So we're experimenting, are we~?" Moon smirked, tracing a finger down your neck.

You blushed deeply but didn't flinch. He was just a robot, right? He didn't know what he was doing was...?

"Maybe." You smirked, grabbing his hand and cupping his chin.

"Ohhh, is that right?" He grabbed you by your waist, lifting you up. You yelped and gripped his shoulders.

"Awww, scared? That's cute. Don't worry, I've got you." He walked you to the small room you slept in.

He sat on the bed with you in his lap. He began singing softly to you, holding you close against his chest. You smiled, leaning into his touch. His voice was oddly soothing. He combed his fingers gently through your hair, massaging your head. You reached your hand up to his face, pulling him just low enough to plant a small kiss on his chin.

He looked away, holding his hand up to the place you kissed him. You smiled slyly.

"Oh, so you do have a soft spot?" You smirked, tracing a hand down his face.

"Shut up." He muttered, his burning red eyes seeming to soften.
