Chapter fifteen

It was finally the day. You were leaving the hospital. Sun was ecstatic.

"Oh, sunshine, we're so excited to see our new home! What're we gonna do when we get there, huh? Huh?" He asked excitedly.

"They're gonna relax. Right, y/n?" She glanced down at you. "Yes, mom." You rolled your eyes.

Your mom drove you home where sun carefully tucked you into bed.

Sun's pov

While I was waiting for y/n to wake up, I got a great idea.

"Um, Mrs. L/n?" I called shyly. "Call me Joey, sweetheart." She smiled, not looking up from her computer.

No wonder y/n is so wonderful! They have such a great mom!

"Ok, Joey! We were wondering if you had any cookie dough or anything to make cookie dough?" I asked hopefully.

"Sure, honey, check the freezer." She said. "Thank you!" I pulled out a bowl of cookie dough.

"Hey, I have to run some errands. Let y/n, please?" She called. "Of course!"

Oh, y/n's awake!

I sat nervously at the table, holding the plate of cookies.

"Well? Say something, you idiot!"

"Um! Since you've been recovering, moon and I thought you might like a cookie date! But if not, that's perfectly fine!" I smiled nervously.

They just stared at me.

"Uh oh. Did I do something wrong? Did I say something stupid?"

"Hey, don't ask me. You're on your own on this one."

Suddenly, they pounced on me and showered me with kisses.

"Aww, sunshine, mwah!" I kissed their cheek.

I noticed while they were eating they looked a little sad.

"What's wrong, sunbite? Are the cookies bad? Did they upset your tummy? Or if you're tired we can-"

"No, no! It's not that, it's just... when we do special things like this, I wish it could be all of us. Moon's left out." They said sadly.

"Well? Let me out."

"No, that won't work. Then they'll just feel like I'm left out."

"Well, what do you propose we do? We can't split."

"No, but we can merge."

"Ugh, that hurts, but... I'll do it for y/n."

"Sunshine? We have an idea, if you'd like to try that?" I smiled warmly.

"Oh, sure." They looked at me curiously.

I walked over to the dimmer and turned it on.

I screamed, feeling the transformation take over. The pain slowly fading away as I feel moon's presence being introduced.

2nd person pov

"Ah! That's better!" The strange new character smiled, stretching out his limbs.

"Sun, are you okay? What's happening? Wait, moon? Or...?" You looked at the being in front of you.

"Oh, you can just call me eclipse, dewdrop." He placed a kiss on the back of your hand.

"So... you're both sun and moon." You concluded. He nodded slowly. "Are you okay, though? That looked like it hurt."

"Oh, darling, so sweet to us, don't worry. It only hurts initially. We're fine now." He smirked, towering over you.

"But... you're trembling." You cupped his face worriedly.

"Sweetheart, let us tell you a bit about the form we've taken." He cupped your chin. "Most things are just mixed. Personality, looks, but our desire for you... has DOUBLED."

"So, take a moment to consider that we're trembling... because we're holding back." He let his tongue slip out, pinning you against the wall.

"Okay! No touching. Got it." You backed away.

"W- wait! You can touch us! We don't mind! It's okay!" He pleaded.

"Well... how bout a kiss? Is that okay?" You asked. He nodded.

"Yes! Yes!"

You leaned in slowly until your lips met. At first it was sweet and passionate. He glided his tongue along your lower lip.

"Okay! Kissing, definitely not safe." You concluded as he buried his face in your chest.

"Agreed." He muttered.
