The new employer sat in his dimly lit office, staring intently at the surveillance footage on his computer screen. He had hired Hammer and Glass to take out a rival organization, but what he saw on the screen was not what he expected.
Instead of simply eliminating their targets, Hammer and Glass had gone on a rampage, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. The employer watched in horror as they fought their way through the rival organization's headquarters, taking out anyone who got in their way.
But what disturbed him the most was the collateral damage. Innocent people had been caught in the crossfire, and the employer knew that the consequences of their actions could be severe.
He sat back in his chair, his mind racing with the implications of what he had just witnessed. He knew that he had made a mistake in hiring Hammer and Glass. They were too unpredictable, too dangerous.
But he also knew that he couldn't simply cut ties with them. They knew too much about his operation, and he couldn't risk them turning on him.
So he came up with a plan. He would hire another group of mercenaries to take out Hammer and Glass. It was a risky move, but he knew that it was his only option.
He picked up the phone and dialed a number he had memorized long ago. After a few rings, a gruff voice answered.
"Hello?"
"It's me," the employer said. "I need your services."
There was a pause on the other end of the line, and then the voice spoke again.
"You know what my services entail," the voice said. "Are you sure you want to go down this road?"
"I'm sure," the employer replied, his voice steady. "I need Hammer and Glass taken care of, and I need it done quickly."
The voice on the other end of the line chuckled. "You got it," he said. "Consider it done."
The employer hung up the phone, his heart racing with anticipation. He knew that the next few days would be crucial, and that he had to stay one step ahead of both Hammer and Glass and the new mercenaries he had hired.
But he was determined to see this through. He had come too far to let anything stand in the way of his goals.
With a deep breath, he leaned back in his chair and waited for the storm to come.
