I haven't got the chance to see Lando or Mick since I arrived a few nights ago, Thursday and Friday are packed with back to back events.

Alpha Tauri are certainly on top of their press duties, my feet ache running around after the drivers. On the bright side Pierre and Yuki are a joy to be around, they bring such a positive atmosphere whenever they're together. The team seem very tight knit, everyone works in semi-unity which is very different to the chaos of the Haas garage i'm all too familiar with.

By Friday night i'm already wiped out from the weekend, I really need to get a hang of this before I work for any of the big teams. Practice thankfully went well for all the drivers and the team has high hopes going into quali tomorrow.

I toss and turn in my bed, my body begging for sleep while my head is still buzzing from the busyness of the day. After ten minutes of struggling to drift off I decide I really need to hear my best friends voice. The phone almost rings out before I hear a click.

Shuffling comes from the other line before a tired voice answers "Hello?" Mick groans, "I'm sorry did I wake you up?" I whisper, clicking on speaker so I can comfortably lie down.

"No Angel I wasn't asleep yet, is everything alright?" His voice is croaky yet soft.

"I couldn't sleep, just missed your voice." I hear more shuffling suggesting he's sitting up in his bed.

"I'm sorry I shouldn't have called I know it's been a long day." Guilt fills me as I realise how stupid I am to be calling him late at night just because I was lonely.

"Don't be sorry, I feel better knowing you're on the other line. Talk to me, tell me about your day." He sounds very tired but he's still filled with his usual kindness.

"Hm it was busy, Alpha Tauri sure have a packed schedule." I sigh, recalling the fun interviews that slowly began to drag as the day went on.

"I saw your photos on instagram, they looked incredible." He mumbles. "You're too sweet." I smile.

"I miss you, it feels so weird not being with you this week." I admit. "I know Alli, I miss you being by my side."

"Don't tell the others but no matter where I am i'll always be routing for you." I let out a quiet laugh, hearing his soft chuckle on the other line.  "I know, you're my number one fan." I can practically hear him grinning. "Don't push it."

"Love you." I mumble feeling sleep finally taking me. His words are the last thing I hear before completely drifting off: "Love you too, Goodnight Angel."

Saturday rolls around and the first qualifying runs smoothly, however, Q2 is where everything goes wrong.

The garage erupts in gasps as a Haas car has a huge crash in q2, spinning straight into a wall. He was going so quickly the speed of impact must have been horrific and looked incredibly dangerous. The number on the side of the car reveals a 47, not Mick dear god not him.

I'm overwhelmed by fear, the kind of fear that paralyses you on the spot. The world moving in slow motion as I frantically wait for confirmation that he's alright.

I cant even react, I don't scream or cry i'm just stuck staring in agony at the wreck. I've seen him crash before but this is his worst, god he can't be hurt please not Mick.

Relief floods over me as we hear the announcement that he seems unharmed, my body almost going limp as I struggle to remain standing. "Can I?" I turn to Franz who sends a reassuring nod "Take the rest of the day off I understand." I thank him before rushing out the Alpha Tauri garage with no direction of what to do.
