Jin Sect
A man knelt in front of the Sect Leader of the Jin Sect. He had been accused of harassing the sect leader, and everyone demanded that he be beheaded as punishment.
“Any last words?” asked the sworn brother of the sect leader.
The man knelt on the ground, his body covered with wounds and his face stained with blood. Yet he laughed.
“You are a big fool. That’s why, until now, you still believe your sworn brother died because of a qi deviation.”
Zewu-jun widened his eyes.
“W-what do you mean?”
The man laughed again.
“Don’t you know…?” He lifted his head and stared directly into the sect leader’s eyes. “…you are the reason he died… and you will also be the one who kills your lover.”
The young man burst into laughter again.
Zewu-jun frowned in confusion and glanced at his lover.
Suddenly, Jin Guangyao charged forward, intending to silence the man.
But before he could reach him—
A powerful wave of energy exploded through the hall, throwing everyone backward. Cultivators were knocked off their feet and crashed onto the floor.
When the blinding light finally faded…
A man stood there wearing extravagant robes that even the richest cultivation sect could not afford.
The wounded prisoner suddenly knelt before this mysterious man with deep respect.
Everyone stared in shock.
Why would such a powerful man kneel before this cut-sleeve criminal?
The cultivators immediately unsheathed their swords.
“Who are you?! And how dare you appear before—”
The speaker was suddenly blasted away by another surge of energy and collapsed unconscious.
“You are not in any position to speak to me,” the mysterious man said coldly. “Lowly mortals who call themselves righteous deserve extinction. You should be grateful that our Crown Prince wishes to spare your pathetic lives.”
His voice sent chills through the hall.
“If it were not for our Crown Prince, this world would already have been destroyed. So you should be thankful.”
He untied the prisoner’s ropes and healed his wounds instantly. Not even a small scratch remained.
The young man stood up and looked around in confusion.
“Wait! Where am I? Where are my da-ge and er-ge?” he asked anxiously.
Many cultivators frowned. The words he used sounded strange, almost like another language.
“Please calm yourself,” the mysterious man said respectfully. “They are safe. They are in a secure place.”
As the man prepared to take him away, the cultivators blocked their path.
“And where do you think you’re taking that criminal?” Jin Guangyao asked coldly.
Meanwhile, Richard was extremely confused.
Am I inside some kind of drama? he thought.
He wasn’t even an actor. His da-ge and er-ge were the actors.
“Criminal?” the mysterious man repeated calmly. “Do you even know who the real criminal is here, Sect Leader Jin?”
The man known as Sect Leader Jin widened his eyes.
Don’t tell me… he knows everything.
“Of course I know everything,” the mysterious man said calmly, pointing toward the sky. “Everyone up there knows everything. They are merely restraining themselves from descending and wiping this world out.”
Richard blinked in confusion.
“Wait… who are they?”
“I’m sorry,” the man said respectfully. “You have just returned to this world and immediately faced such chaos. I cannot answer that question.”
“Why not?” Richard asked curiously.
“It is the rule. I was only sent here to protect you and your brothers—”
“Oh! Shoot! I almost forgot!” Richard suddenly exclaimed dramatically. “Please take me to my da-ge and er-ge! They must be worried about me!”
And just like that, Mo Xuanyu and the mysterious man vanished into thin air.
The cultivators were left in complete shock.
But what shocked them most was hearing him mention da-ge and er-ge.
After all, he was supposed to be the younger brother of Jin Zixuan and Jin Guangyao.
What shocked them even more was what the mysterious man said—that he had just returned to this world.
Jin Guangyao glanced at his sworn brother.
It was obvious how curious he had become after Mo Xuanyu mentioned Nie Mingjue’s death.
Meanwhile, Jin Guangyao clenched his fists secretly.
Yes, he had been planning to manipulate Sect Leader Jiang and destroy the relationship between Lan Xichen and Jiang Cheng.
But now everything might change.
His sworn brother would surely become more cautious.
Still, Jin Guangyao’s obsession burned in his heart.
Er-ge belongs to me alone, he thought possessively.
The cultivators soon decided they must hunt down Mo Xuanyu.
But the real question was how.
They had witnessed how powerful that mysterious man was. He clearly said someone had sent him to protect Mo Xuanyu and his siblings.
They could not afford to offend someone so powerful.
