The group had been traveling for two days, and thankfully, they hadn’t encountered any enemies.
Sean was in the kitchen, checking on his little brother and lending a hand.
But when he arrived, he was quite surprised.

"Ow, you’ve already finished cooking? Come, let me help you prepare the food," Sean said.
"Thanks, gege," she replied.
So they prepared the food together.
After dinner, Sean walked to the command station and found Haoxuan with Xiao Xingchen and Song Lan. They were eating with him.
"How long until we reach Cannibal Island?" Sean asked.
"After Sol explained the distance, I think we’ll get there in about three days, gege. Right now, maybe we should prepare everything. By the way, has the antidote been finished?"
"Almost. Everyone is preparing as well. Maybe we should leave Mrs. Jin on the ship for safety with the other seniors, so that if our mission goes wrong, we have someone who can back us up."
Haoxuan looked terrified. He approached Sean and put his arm around him.
"Are you afraid of our mission?" Sean asked.
Haoxuan pouted and hugged Sean’s waist. "Ge… we have so many dangers ahead. I’m afraid that one of us—or one of our companions—might die. I don’t want that to happen. Ge, do you think I’m strong enough to protect those with us? I don’t want to be a burden on you and Fie."
"You're not a burden, and you won’t be. You’re strong and brave, so don’t doubt your own abilities, okay?" Sean reassured him.
Meanwhile, the two who continued eating didn’t know how to feel after hearing what Xue Yang had said. He was very different from the Xue Yang they once knew. If they had investigated before attacking him, maybe he wouldn’t have forgotten them. They had forgotten that Xue Yang was just a child then, alone on the street, and had been invited by the Jin Sect to be their disciple because of his ability as a demonic cultivator.
Now, he had a family—two brothers, actually—and a strong grandma who was Xiao Xingchen’s grandmaster. And they never expected that Wei Wuxian would be the brother.
From what they had heard about past wei wuxian before, he didn’t always behave perfectly, but he was very bright and kind, often forgetting his own well-being. He was also a great senior and a caring brother. So now, with Xue Yang—Wei Wuxian—as his brother, they were sure that Xue Yang was in good hands.

(Yeah, right. Xue Yang deserves a family and a happy ending. As long as the Lord doesn’t punish whoever it is that foolishly cuts off His finger, Xue Yang wouldn’t be a psychopath. Maybe he’s still the Xue Yang who loves candy and is innocent.)

Sean decided to leave the cabin to check outside, but he didn’t expect to find Lan Wangji meditating.
He sat at a distance from Wangji and took his guitar out of its capsule.
Lan Wangji sensed his presence, ended his meditation, and came over to Wei Ying.
"How does this thing work? Can you play music?" Lan Wangji asked Sean.
Sean nodded and began to play.

((I was looking for a guitar version of wuji, but of all the ones I found, this is the one I liked the most. The cover is very emotional. And please give credit to the owner of the video.)

"So what do you think?–"he asked with his bunny smile, but immediately gone when he saw lan zhan. Some tears came out from his eyes.

"Lan Zhan, what’s wrong? Why are you crying?" Sean asked worriedly, gently wiping the tears from Lan Zhan’s eyes

"Lan Zhan, what’s wrong? Why are you crying?" Sean asked worriedly, gently wiping the tears from Lan Zhan’s eyes.
But he gasped in surprise when Lan Zhan hugged his waist.
It was truly astonishing for anyone to see Lan Wangji like this. Known as a cold and stoic person, he rarely—if ever—showed his emotions. Even his own brother hadn’t seen him cry since he was six years old. The last time he had seen Lan Zhan emotional was when dreaming of Wei Wuxian, and when Wangji had played Inquiry for Wei Wuxian at the Back Mountain of Gusu.
"Hush now, Lan Zhan. You’re like my brother. A-Xuan always cried even at small things," Sean teased lightly.
But Lan Wangji pouted, burying his face in Wei Ying’s stomach and letting out a soft groan. Wei Ying laughed heartily.
"Okay, I won’t tease you anymore. Just stop crying, alright? Was it the song… is it really that good that you feel sad?" Sean asked, still hugging Lan Zhan.
Wangji simply nodded into Wei Ying’s stomach. "Wangji really loves it."
Wei Ying giggled. "Really?"
"Hm… but why does Wei Ying not remember Wangji… but remembers the song?"
"Huh?" Sean was confused, his voice muffled against Lan Zhan.
"Wangji asked how you knew the song," Lan Zhan explained, letting go of the hug.
Sean sat properly, looking straight at Lan Zhan. "Well… I don’t know either. It’s just… I always dream of someone singing this song to me, but I never knew who it was. That’s why I’ve been working so hard to remember anything. If that person is you, then I need to work hard… I don’t want to see you like this. So I need to remember everything."
He smiled gently, locking eyes with Lan Zhan. "If this dangerous mission is a way for me to remember my life as the Yiling Patriarch, then I’ll take the chance. So that no one will be sad… you won’t be sad anymore." He wiped Lan Zhan’s cheeks again as he started crying anew. "So don’t cry, okay? I’m here. Even if I don’t remember you or my past, if you’re sure I really am Wei Wuxian, then treat me as Wei Wuxian—and I’ll adjust for you, okay?"
Lan Zhan nodded and hugged Wei Ying tightly.
Meanwhile, Lan Xichen, who had been listening to their conversation, couldn’t stop smiling and shedding tears for his brother.
Suddenly, everyone came out of the cabin, hanging out outside, singing and joking. They wanted to make the most of their time together, not knowing what might happen next. But the three brothers silently promised that they would never allow anyone to harm their companions.
