“So… you mean to say that A-Xuan and I already died in this world and were reincarnated in another timeline?” Sean said slowly, trying to process everything. “But Mo Xuanyu just died recently, and my A-Fie here is the one who reincarnated into his body?”
He rubbed his temples.
“Ugh… this is giving me a headache. Then why are we here now?” Sean asked He Na again. “If we already died in this world before?”
He Na sighed softly.
“Well… we cannot answer that question. It is considered a taboo. The only one who can explain why you exist in this world is your grandmother.”
Sean nodded slowly.
“Then maybe it’s time for us to rest now,” A-Fie said. “We’ll continue traveling tomorrow.”
Everyone agreed.
That Night
Sean and his two brothers stayed in the same room.
“Gege,” Haoxuan said quietly, “what do you think our connection to this world is? And why did they kidnap Grandma? Do you think she was kidnapped because they were looking for us?”
Sean looked at his younger brothers calmly.
“Er-di, listen to me,” he said gently. “Everything will be fine. Whatever the reason we’re here, let’s just go with the flow for now.”
He patted Haoxuan’s shoulder.
“Get some sleep. Tomorrow will be a busy day.”
A-Fie nodded and tried his best to fall asleep.
The Next Morning
Sean normally woke up around 9 AM if he didn’t have work, and Haoxuan was the same. But A-Fie always woke up early because he was the one who usually cooked for his brothers.
He went downstairs and politely asked the innkeeper if he could use the kitchen.
Thankfully, the innkeeper agreed.
When he entered the dining area later, he saw several people already there.
“Good morning, Li Gongzi,” one of the Gusu Lan disciples greeted him politely.
Even Shen Yuan, Xiao Xingchen, Song Lan, Jin Ling, and their two saviors were there.
“Gongzi?” A-Fie repeated awkwardly.
He rubbed the back of his neck and laughed.
“That sounds too formal. Just call me A-Fie, or Fie, or even Fie-gege.”
He smiled brightly.
Everyone nodded and agreed.
“Anyway, where are your brothers, Fie-gege?” Jin Ling asked curiously.
“Well… in our world, my er-ge and da-ge are usually very busy with work,” A-Fie explained. “So whenever they don’t have work, they tend to wake up late.”
Just like Wei Ying used to, Lan Wangji thought quietly.
“Yeah, we still don’t know what Sean-ge does,” Lan Jingyi said. “We only know that you’re a cook and that Xuan-ge is a singer. What about Sean-ge?”
A-Fie smiled proudly.
“Oh, my brother? He’s a worldwide superstar.”
Everyone blinked in confusion.
“Huh?”
The juniors looked at each other.
“What does superstar mean?” Lan Sizhui asked politely.
A-Fie thought for a moment, trying to find a way to explain.
“Well… a superstar is someone who is extremely famous,” he said. “Millions of people know him. They admire him and follow his work. People watch his performances, listen to his music, and many fans travel just to see him.”
The juniors’ eyes widened.
“Millions?” Jin Ling repeated in disbelief.
A-Fie nodded proudly.
“Yep. My brother is known all over the world.”
Then he suddenly remembered something.
“Oh! Wait!”
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a strange rectangular object.
It was his phone, which had somehow come with him when he transmigrated.
Everyone leaned closer curiously.
“What is that?” Jingyi asked.
“It’s called a phone,” A-Fie explained. “It’s a device from our world.”
He tapped the screen, and it lit up instantly.
The cultivators jumped slightly in surprise.
“It glows!” Jin Ling exclaimed.
A-Fie laughed.
“It’s normal.”
He opened his photo gallery.
“Look,” he said proudly. “These are pictures of my brother.”
