"Oh bloody hell!" I exclaimed as I studied the gps on my phone.

Of course because I do well in my university they just had to choose me for this foreign exchange program with Gotham University. Now im stuck on the streets of Gotham City with my carryon fresh from the air port as I try and find my way to my new apartment complex my University assigned me to stay in.

Since I just got off a plane I didn't look all that hot, wearing comfy bottoms and a lose f/c tee, my hair messier than usual from sleeping for several hours on the plane. I must have looked a foreign as a foreigner can look in a big city. The people were also definitely different from those back home.

Even during daylight the Gothamnites are tense and much more closed off than the people back at home. And because of their tense reluctance, they just walked by ignoring me in my state of confusion and need.

Suddenly, as I continued walking along the sidewalk trying to follow the gps I bumped into something ruff, stumbling to a wobbly stop.

Looking up to see just what I bumped into, I see a beautiful man- did I just say beautiful-?! Well it is true...He also seemed to wobble as he tried to regain his balance. His raven hair bounced with his movements, causing the slight curls to be more prominent. He had an athletes build, cover by navy jeans, a black tee shirt, and a matching navy jacket with dark blue accents. After we both examined each other our eyes meet, and I felt almost entranced by his blue orbs.

Suddenly his face takes a rosey hue as he starts sputtering.

"I-I'm so sorry (Ma'am/Sir/Mx)!" He stuttered slightly at the beginning but seemed to gain some composure as he spoke.

"Oh its fine love- I should've been looking where I was stepping." I was quick to assure him, as if I had been watching I wouldn't have ran into him.

"Love? Thats an accent you don't hear everyday. My names Richard, but you can call me Dick." His face had calmed down to just a subtle pink, it was still quite cute if I was honest.

"Dick? I never did get how they got that name from Richard. Its still rather charming though." I smiled lightly, before realizing how flirtatious my words sounded. My face heated up as his again turned a deep red. I'm quick to cover up my messy flirting with an excuse.
"S-sorry if that came off a bit strong, I'm still experiencing a lot of jet lag."

His eyes seemed to light up in understanding as he looked me over once more. "Ah. Jet lag, a pretty accent, carry on, you just got off a plane didn't you? And I'm guessing a long one at that." aa charming smile over took his flushed face.

"Heh is it that obvious?" My smile became nervous as I worried if I looked that out of place.

"No no no no! Its not obvious or anything I'm just an observant person, thats all. Gotham doesn't get all to many visitors, so whats a pretty person like you doing in the city of crime and gloom?"

My face tried to heat up but I remained as composed as I could. I didn't expect such attractive people to be so kind and hand out complements so freely.

"Oh right, I'm part of an exchange program for (insert british university), I'm coming to study at Gotham University in (insert corse)."

"(Insert corse)? That sounds exciting!"

The conversation between us flows so easily. I didn't even register Dick taking my phone to see the address I was lost looking for and returning it before he lead us to my new home.

"Anddd we're here." His smile was bright like an excited golden retriever ready to be praised. Honestly could this man get any cuter. And a sneak little retriever at that.

"Ah thank you so much Dick! I'm so happy I bumped into you- literally." We both snickered at my pun, before I decided to make a move.
"So um Dick would you like my number? I've only been in Gotham for a short bit and it'd be nice to have a friendly face to count on."

I could feel my face heat up at the idea he may reject the offer, even more so at the idea of him accepting it. His face seemed to glow even more with a rosey tint and the realization at what I said.

"Not unless you think of my offer to get lunch some time." His charming smile seemed to grow with his comeback, his eyes squinting ever so slightly as small smile lines formed near the edges of his eyes.

"Of course, why wouldn't I accept going on a date with a handsome man I just offered my number to." A small cheeky smile over took me as his face again flushed. It really was just fun to make this guy blush.

"Its a date then."

"Yes, yes it is."
