Y/n POV:

"This is nice." I couldn't help at smile at Barbaras words. My beautiful girlfriend, who currently was scratching my head as I laid my head in her lap.

"Very. Mmm, I love your nails. They feel so good." I hummed at the feeling, physical touch letting me thrive almost as much as Barbara's laugh. Her whole chest vibrated slightly as she did, small dimples on either side of her smile.

"Gosh you're handsome." I felt a blush creep up my face at the compliment and couldn't help but look away. "And pretty."

Gosh, Barbara loved to compliment and fluster me. It's her love language as much as physical touch is mine, but I can never react to them in anything but sputters.

"N-not as pretty as you." I suck in a deep breath before releasing it to calm my heated face. She smiled down at me and I just leaned into her touch again.

Moments like this are what I love in my life most, sitting with Babs just enjoying each other's company. She scares me sometimes. After a few months of dating she told me about her nightly activities, swinging around the rooftops of Gotham. I always worry for her safety, being just a normal human constantly putting herself at risk like this with so many metas and aliens.

"Awww~ You're so flustered...." Barbara teased as I felt her finger brush against my forehead.

A small ding pinged from Barbara's phone, causing it to attract both of our attention as she looked at it. When Barbara sighed I knew our time was being cut short.

"B's calling me in for an early patrol, worried about the meteor shower tonight and how it'll affect possible metas. Love you stars," Barbara smiled after I had sat up, quickly stealing a peck before waving her off.

I really forgot about the meteor shower? I groaned in frustration at the realization, knowing I would need to be outside when it happened so I could absorb as much of its energy as possible.

The stars would look nice, but the smog of Gotham's pollution covered most of them. But I could feel the energy of the meteor shower a few extra thousand miles away, they would be near Earth's atmosphere soon enough.

The rooftop was cold but it was surprisingly calm, the wind blowing gently as I stood leaning against the rooftop half wall.

Slowly the energy became stronger, and faint lights started to appear in the sky. I couldn't help the smile that crept onto my face.

I looked down at my arms as I felt a faint warmth spread across them and my face, the freckles dusted across them starting to glow faintly.

I was so distracted by the warmth and gentle power that the shower brought that I hadn't notice a presence approaching until I heard a sharp gasp from behind me.

I whipped around to fave the presence, hands glowing a starch white before the light quickly faded. Batgirl was the one standing behind me.

"O-oh gee Batgirl....you frightened me." I calmed downed, tensing when I realized I had just showed my powers to Barbara.

"Y/n? What the hell...." Batgirl closed the distance between us, her hand cupping my face and examining it. Damn it....my freckles are still glowing...

"You're.....glowing?"

"Well yea.....I'm definitely not a shadow...."

She rolled her eyes, kissing my forehead and ignored what I had said.

"Whatever....it makes you sparkle though....now I know what my favorite constellations are...." She traced patterns across my nose and cheeks, presumably across my freckles.

"Yeah yeah....." I smiled, unable to stop my dreamy expression as I stared at the woman who had my heart in her clutches.
