It was dark until all at once Kunzite was thrown out into a bright light. She fell flat on her face, groaning in pain. As she opened her eyes she saw two dark yellow boot heels and the hem of a dark blue dress. “Get up,” ordered an unknown voice. It was Yellow. Intimidated by her, Kunzite hurried to stand. “You are a Kunzite. Your job is to go on the missions we as diamonds assign to you, and to watch over your Diamond.” The yellow one explained with a hint of irritation. “Who is my diamond?” Kunzite asked. The blue one spoke up. “Your diamond is Pink Diamond. You will obey every order she gives you. You will also listen to us fellow diamonds.” Blue Diamond explained. “Follow us.” Yellow Diamond ordered as they both turned around. Kunzite followed closely behind, amazed at everything she saw.
The gems walked for quite some time before they arrived at the door. “Pearl, open the door.” Yellow ordered. “Yes, my diamond.” in a shrill voice came from the yellow pearl. She opened the door by putting her hand on the wall. When the door opened she put her hands in a diamond shape. Kunzite heard a voice coming from the middle of the room. “White, stop covering my eyes I want to see what you got me.” whined the pink gem. She was shorter than the rest of the diamonds but taller than Kunzite.
Kunzite assumed this was Pink diamond and the hand covering her face belonged to White diamond. “Okay, starlight you can look now.” White removed her hand and Pink stared at the gem in front of her. “This is Kunzite. She will be around you at all times. You can still mess around but she will make sure that you won’t be an inconvenience to us.” She saw Pink deflate a bit as she heard that she was an inconvenience to them. Kunzite bowed, doing the diamond salute, greeting Pink with a “Nice to meet you, my diamond.” Pink cringed at the ‘my diamond‘ bit, but she was happy she would have more company other than Pearl and Spinel.
The diamonds left shortly after along with their pearls, so now it was only Pink, her pearl, and Kunzite. “What would you like to do my diamond?” Kunzite asked. Pink smiled at her as she began to talk. “Okay first, enough with the ‘my diamond’ thing. Just call me Pink.” Kunzite nodded. “Let’s go explore the place. Blue and Yellow won’t be back for hours since they have to attend trails, and White barely leaves her head.” “Okay, my diamond.” “Just Pink.” Pink stated. “Sorry. Pink.'' She smiled at Kunzite then she grabbed her hand and began to give her a tour. Pink Pearl quickly catches up before losing them.

It felt like yesterday to Kunzite even though it had been 550 long years since that day. Spending time with Pink was fun, especially when Pearl was there to join in. The diamonds are not there often, but when they are, they have to act “professional” which none of them like. Kunzite met Spinel later on, and let’s just say she couldn’t stand to be near her for more than 30 minutes. She didn’t understand how Pink could manage to be around her in the garden for so long.
The diamonds were intimidating no matter how many times she's seen them, but Pink isn’t like that. To Kunzite, she’s sweet and kind.
Pink did have some tantrums from time to time, and it was scary if she got really mad. Kunzite and Pearl try to be careful not to get hurt when her yelling cracks the walls.
Pearl is also very sweet and funny too. She makes silly faces at Kunzite when they are in a long meeting with the diamonds and she makes sure that Kunzite is up to par on the things she missed (which wasn’t a lot but it happens sometimes.)
Kunzite hopes this will never end.
