Chapter 15

Joel, Ellie, and Y/N had broken into a house owned by two people. The man who went hunting returned, he put down his bow, and unzipped his jacket.

Joel revealed himself and held the man up.
Joel told the man to put his gun out of reach.
The man did so. The man asked the woman why she didn't shoot Joel.

Florence: The guns all the way over there. He didn't hurt me, by the way.

Marlon: Yeah, I got eyes.

The man saw that the woman made Joel soup. The man sat down.

Joel: I'm lookin' for my brother.

Marlon: I hadn't seen him.

Joel: I didn't tell you what he looks like.

Marlon: He look anything like you?

Joel: A bit.

Marlon: Then I ain't seen him.

Florence: He's got a girl and a sickly lookin' boy with him.

Marlon: Sickly?

Joel: He ain't infected, he was born with abnormalities.

Ellie asked if she could come down.

Joel looked and saw Ellie leaning on the rail of the upper floor.

Joel: No.

Ellie came down with her gun in hand anyway.

When the man saw Y/N he was unsettled.
Y/N sighed.

Y/N: I was born albino, and then I developed FHI.

A/N Thats where your eyes change color.

Marlon: Huh. You sound like the Grim Reaper, boy.

Joel: Nevermind them. I need you to tell us where we are.

The man asked Joel why he was lost if he had a map.

Ellie: Must have missed all the street signs in the enormous fucking forest.

Marlon: Ho-ly.

The woman laughed.
Y/N smiled.

Joel pointed at the map.

Joel: We're somewhere here. Exactly where? And your answer better be the same as your wife's.

Marlon: Did you tell him the truth.

Florence: Yeah.

Marlon: Are you tellin' me the truth?

Florence: Yeah.

The man pointed at a spot on the map and Joel put up his gun and said they found a good place to hide and then he sat down. Ellie sat next to Joel and Y/N sat next to her.

Marlon: Hide? Came here before you were born, sonny. To get the hell away from everybody.

The woman said she didn't want to move out this far.

Marlon: Listen, I didn't mean to upset you about your brother, but if you've come this far, then you know what's out there. You seen Cody?

Ellie: Yeah, got close enough.

Y/N: It's crawling with infected.

Marlon: Yeah, anywhere people used to be you can't go anymore.

Joel: So you haven't heard the name Tommy?

Marlon: Nope.

Ellie asked about the Fireflies.
The woman said they get those in the summer.

Ellie: Not the bugs, the people.
