Chapter 8 Lana's

3rd pov

The boys were outside Lana's house. They stopped right outside her door. ''this is the house'', JJ said as he looked at the Routledge's brothers. John B looked at the door, and noticed it was open. ''the door, it's open''. All of the boys starred at the door, then suddenly they heard glass smashing.

All three of the boys went to the window. There they saw two men looking like they were threating Lana. One of the man thought he heard something so he turned around. Luckily the boys ducked right away.

The same man said to the other. ''hey just tell us where it is, and we'll go''. ''I don't know'', they heard a woman's voice say. JJ looked at his friends. ''maybe we should come back, when she's not occupied with those lovely fellas in there''. ''no JJ. We came here to get information and that we are'', JJ said with a serious tone. JJ held his hands in defence.

''hey I see a door right around the corner. Let's sneak in there''. Both of them followed John B and ended up getting in the house without being noticed.

The three boys was hiding in the kitchen while they listened into the conversation between Lana and the two unknown men.

''I'll ask again. Tell me where it is or else you'll see what I'm gonna do. Let me tell you it isn't pleasant''. She didn't say anything this made the man more angry. He took a paint brush and threw it hard out the kitchen window.

RJ was thinking about doing something, but what could he do. Yeah he had John B and JJ, but there were two grown men and perhaps they were armed. So, he tried to remail quiet and sit still. Not knowing what to do.

''I don't know where the compass is, you must believe me'', Lana said with a cracking voice. ''you're a liar. Where is it? Is it in the house perhaps?''.

The man began to crash more things in the house. RJ couldn't handle it anymore. He was about to get up, but his brother stopped him. ''it won't do any good, brother''. ''he's right'', JJ backed John B up.

The man stopped and looked at Lana with mad eyes. ''the compass wasn't in the boat. You told us it was going to be there. Then it wasn't, care to explain that mrs Grubbs?''. Lana sobbed. ''I don't know. It was supposed to be there. It was supposed to be in Scooter's boat''.

The other man opened up to speak. ''let's just go. It's clear that it isn't here. I bet those kids who were on the boat has it. You know RJ and John B Routledge may have a clue. It is after all their father's compass''.

As the man said that the three of them looked at each other shocked. ''those are the two who were shooting at us'', JJ said. ''no shit JJ'', RJ whispered back.

The man sighed and went out, so did the other. When the teen boys heard the door smack, they got out of their hiding.

They heard Lana crying so they went up to check on her. ''hey mrs Grubbs it's alright. They're gone''. ''uhm are you alright mrs Grubbs? Is there something we could do for you? Call a doctor or something?'', JJ asked the woman.

''n-no I'm a-alright dear. J-just a little s-shaken up''. ''that's understandable'', John B spoke up. ''should we call the cops and let them know what happened'', RJ asked. She looked up at him immediately. ''no cops'', she said looking at him serious. He nodded.

''were all of you here and witnessed that?''. ''well, not all maybe but we saw something'', John B answered her. ''I'm sorry, but you three shouldn't be here''. ''yeah we know, but we need to talk to you''. ''John B's right. We do''.

''I think you need to go''. ''that's okay for me'', JJ said. He was about to leave when RJ grabbed his shoulder and took him in his place. ''it would just take some minutes'', RJ said giving her a reassuring smile. She nodded.

''what do you know about those guys, that were here and why do they want my father's compass?'', John B asked first. She looked down and didn't answer him. That's when RJ took the compass from his pocket and showed it to her.

''this was my father's why are they out for it. Your husband had it, Please tell us why?'', RJ asked with sadness in his tone. ''all I will say is that Scooter wasn't the one who really had it and don't tell anyone that you have that compass. Do you all understand?''. The boys looked at each other, then back at her. ''now go'', she said. ''yes ma'am'', JJ replied and took John B and RJ grabbing them out.

The boys went back to the boat and drove away from the scene. Not knowing what to think about what happened.

3rd pov (Sarah)

Sarah was minding her own business in the island when suddenly she saw a girl. ''hey, is there something I could help you with?'', she asked the girl. ''I lost my teddy bear at that boat''. Sarah looked around and saw the boat. She looked back at the girl. ''wait here and I'll get it for you.

Sarah's step mom saw her and began to shout. ''Sarah get down from there instantly there are like 14 000 volts in those wires. She looked back at her step mom. ''relax Rose I'm an athlete, remember?''. Then she turned back around to keep going.

She reached the boat and took the doll. She also saw Topper and her brother looking at her. She waved at them. None of them waved back. Topper was more concerned for her. ''Sarah come on get down''. ''on my way'', she yelled back.

Sarah wanted to have fun so she faked her scream and fell into the boat. Everyone gasped and were ready to run to the girl. She sat up before they did and held up the wire. ''it's disconnected. ''my god Sarah'', her step mother said relived. ''that was not funny Sarah'', Topper said concerned. She rolled her eyes and went back up.

She gave the doll back to the girl. ''thank you'', she said. She smiled at her.

''you're her bitch Topper'', Rafe said. ''shut up''.

Suddenly they all saw a boat and when they looked close. They could see it was the Routledge's brothers and JJ.

RJ felt someone starring at him, so he slowed down and turned around and was met by Sarah's beautiful eyes. She smiled at him and he gave her a nod. Topper saw this and became furious.

Suddenly Sarah and Rafe's little sister came up to him. ''looks like you're the next boy''. ''what?'', he asked her. ''don't try to tell her what to do. She is her own person and even if you do. You'll end up like the other boy she dated, Denny''. ''what happened to him?'', he asked her intrigued.

''she cheated on him''. Topper looked at the girl speechless. ''guess that means your next''. ''w-what?'', he said finally opening his mouth. ''yeah you should have seen her with RJ earlier today, but I guess you saw it now to''. ''what? You mean the oldest Routledge brother. The one that works on your boat, RJ?''. ''ding, ding. Correct''.

''I caught she and him flirting or it looked like it. She caught him stealing our scuba gear and giving it back''. ''did uhm she tell anyone?''. ''no, she didn't. My guess she's keeping that for herself''.

Before Topper got to say anything the girl they were talking about came. ''hey Top. Sneezie''. ''not my name Sarah and you know it'', Wheezie said as she walked away annoyed.

''wow, what's up with her?''. ''I don't know, nothing I guess'', Topper said looking at his girlfriend.

The Thorton boy was in his thoughts. He knew that RJ stole the scuba gear from the Cameron's. So, he and his brother and their gang must have loaned it for some reason he didn't care about. All he did care about was that he knew RJ had stolen them, and that he now has the upper hand. He was going to tell Ward Cameron on what the oldest Routledge brother did.

He smiled towards Sarah. ''let's go and eat. My treat''. ''hm, okay'', was all she said. The both of them headed to the wreck.
