Chapter 24

Rowan's P.O.V

My alarm clock starts going off at 7:30, just like every weekday. I turn it off and go to wake up Gabrielle. Once I reach her room, she's sitting on the edge of the bed already dressed.

"Well, somebody got up early." I say to Gabrielle.

"I couldn't help it. I was too excited." Gabrielle responds.

"I thought that would happen." I smile. "Well I'm going to hop in the shower. Once I'm done we can stop at McDonalds on the way to the set to get breakfast."

"Do you want me to make breakfast?"

"You know how to cook?"

"Pancakes. That's it."

"I don't think I have pancake batter, but next time we go shopping I'll be sure to pick some up."

"Okay."

I go back to my room, pick out my own clothes, and get in the shower.

Gabrielle's P.O.V

I got up super early this morning. Sometime around 6:00. I got dressed in an old pair of jeans and black t-shirt with a pink heart on it. I then got a book out of my suitcase called Uncle Tom's Cabin. I found it around the house when my mom was sleeping earlier this week. I've finished it once already and I'm rereading it again. It's such a good book about slavery in the 1800's.

Rowan's P.O.V

Once I was out of the shower and dressed it was 8:00. I walk back to Gabrielle's room and see her reading a book.

"What are you reading?" I ask Gabrielle.

"Oh...this? Uncle Tom's Cabin. It's about slavery."

"That's neat. Are you ready to go?"

"Of course I am!" Gabrielle says jumping out of her bed.

I gather my phone, keys, and purse and the two of us walk out of the house. We get in the car and start driving to McDonalds.

Once we pull in the drive through, I ask Gabrielle "What do you want to eat?"

"Umm... what do they have?"

"You would probably like the Sausage McMuffin."

"Okay, I'll try it."

I pull up to the speaker and hear "Welcome to McDonalds. What may I get you?"

"Hi. I would like two Sausage McMuffins and two small orange juices please."

"Okay. Is that all?"

"Yes."

"Your total will be $4.96. Please pull up to the first window."

I pull up to the first window, pay, and get our food. I hand Gabrielle her sandwich and orange juice.

"Oh my gosh this is so good!" She says after taking her first bite.

"I knew you would like it."

Our food is finished my the time we reach the set. We throw away our trash at a garbage can outside the set.

"Okay Gabrielle. Are you ready to see the awesomeness of the set?" She nods her head. "Okay. Always stick by me." Gabrielle nods again.

We walk inside and I see Gabrielle look around out of the corner of my eye. She says "Whoa" so many times I can't keep track.

"Rowan!" I hear someone call from behind me. I turn around and see Sabrina running towards Gabrielle and I.

"Hey Sab!"

"Hey Row. Hey Gab. Listen, I told the directors and the rest of the crew about Gabrielle coming here on a daily basis. They told me she could play as an extra in the show!"

"That's great! I say.

"Really?" Gabrielle says with obvious shock.

"Yup. Do see that man over there with the headset?" Sabrina points to the writer of the show. "Tell him your name and he'll get you see up."

"Okay." Gabrielle says then runs over to him.

"I think I should go over with Gabrielle and the producer. I'll meet you at the table for the rewrite in five?"

"Okay." Sabrina says. I watch her walk away before I turn around towards Gabrielle.

"Your character is Lizzy." I hear the producer say. "She's going to because friends Riley, Maya, and Farkle over the fact that Lucas has died. Are you okay with that role?"

"Of course!" Gabrielle responds.

"Great. Rowan! Take Gabrielle over to the table to begin the rewriting of the show."

"You got it." I say, then he walks away. "Gabrielle! Your not going to be an extra! Your going to be one of the main roles!" I say excitedly.

"I know!" She says, jumping up and down.

We walk over to the table to begin rewriting the show.
