Rowans P.O.V

The rest of my birthday went amazing! Peyton, Sabrina, Corey and I had an amazing time eating pizza and hanging out. I also got gifts from the cast and crew. Peyton even kissed me again and we have a date planned in two days. Today was so freaking awesome!

Once I got to my apartment, I checked my phone for messages.

Mom- happy birthday rowan! hope you had a great birthday. xoxo mom

Dad- missed call (2)
Happy birthday princess! I hope you have an amazing birthday! Call me once you get home or if it's past 9:00 then call me tomorrow. Love you!

At least Dad bothered to call. Twice. I'm surprised my mom even texted me. She's hardly in my life anymore since I moved to California to pursue my acting career. She always wanted me to be a doctor like her. Ever since she hasn't been in touch. And to think, mothers should be happy for children who become famous.

Oh well. At least I have my Dad in my life.

Then I notice I have another text message.

Jacob- Hey Rowan! Happy birthday! When you get a chance facetime me. I wanna talk to you. I don't care what time you call.

Oh man I miss Jacob so much! He was my only friend in New York when I lived there. I had a little crush on him back then, but now I like Peyton. I decide to text him first before I call.

Rowan- Thanks! Is it okay if I call now?

He replies almost instantly.

Jacob- Are you kidding? It's 7:36 here! It's so late! :)

Rowan- okay I guess I'll just call tomorrow :)

Then I get an incoming FaceTime call from Jacob and I answer.

Rowan- Hey Jacob!

Jacob- Hi! Happy birthday!

Rowan- Thanks!

Jacob- No problem! How was your day?

I tell Jacob about the cast and crew surprising me at Dominos, but I leave out the part about me and Peyton being a thing.

Jacob- That's so cool! But why are you back so early? It's only like 4:30 there.

Rowan- I know but I have plans with them tomorrow to go laser tag to I need my rest.

I can't believe I just straight out lied to him. Oh well.

Jacob- That's cool! So Rowan, while I have you on FaceTime can I ask you something?

Rowan- Ask away.

Jacob- Even though we are over 2.5 thousand miles away, will you be my girlfriend?
