Chapter 25

Rowan's P.O.V

The rewriting of the script took about four hours. We decided on bringing in "Lizzy" in as a new character who just moved from Texas to New York. She has the exact same schedule as "Riley", "Maya", and "Farkle". In first period, "Mr.Matthews" will have her sit in "Lucas'" old seat and that will be how the friendship sparks.

"Gabrielle! Come over here!" I say to my sister who's eating all the snacks from the refreshment table.

"Coming!" Gabrielle says. She runs over to me with a cookie in her hand. "Want it?" She says holding the cookie out to me.

"No thanks. I'm guessing you won't want dinner until later tonight." Gabrielle nods. "Okay. Then lets go out to the car and go shopping!" I excitedly take Gabrielles' hand and start walking out to the parking lot.

"Yay!" Gabrielle says jumping up and down slightly.

Once we get in the car I start driving down the road.

"Where will we be shopping?" Gabrielle asks me.

"Well, there is this big place called a Mall that has a whole bunch of stores in it. I figured that would be the better place to start shopping."

"Multiple stores?"

"Yes."

"Yay!"

I pull up inside the mall parking lot and try to find a parking spot close to the mall. Luckily, I find a spot only a few spaces away.

We walk inside the malls food court and I make us turn right. Two stores down is the Apple store. I take Gabrielle's hand and walk us both inside.

"What's this place?" Gabrielle asks.

"This is a phone store. I'm going to buy you your own personal phone that you can carry around in a purse or pocket."

"Really? Thanks so much Rowan." Gabrielle hugs me and I hug her back.

Once Gabrielle lets go, a sales person walks over to us and says "Hello. May I assist you in any way today?"

"Actually yes. I'm looking to get an iPhone 5c for my sister today." I respond.

"Okay. What color would you like Miss?" He directs to Gabrielle.

"Color? What color?" She answers.

"There is red, yellow, green, and blue available today."

"Pick your favorite color out of those." I whisper to Gabrielle.

"Okay...um...blue please."

"Excellent choice. I'll be right back with your phone. In the mean time, you may have a seat at that table over there." He says pointing to a nearby table.

"Okay. Thank you." I say.

We walk over to the table and wait for him to come back. Once he does, we spend 45 minutes hooking the phone up and teaching Gabrielle the basics.

Once we finish at the Apple store, we go to other stores at the mall buying Gabrielle clothes and some of the extra things she wanted.
