YOU WOULD think that, after being severely hurt, half-possessed by her father and finding out he wasn't a huge ass after all, alora would finally have a full eight hours of refreshing sleep.
well, wrong.
the brown haired girl was rudely woken up by the worst method possible, being shaken awake ( with having chiron's music blast into your ears being a close second. ). as the green eyed girl was about to scream for the rascal that woke her up to fuck off and let her rest in peace, the unknown figure used their palm to cover aloras mouth before she could get a word out.
"shhh, alora it's me!" the familiar voice of the curly haired blonde reassured, slowly taking her palm off of her friends mouth. "annabeth?" the brunette questioned, rubbing her eyes before mumbling something along the lines of "am i dreaming again or something?". the dark skinned camper smiled at the shiny eyed girls sleepy form before continuing what she had to say.
"come on! were going to sneak out!" annabeth explained quite enthusiastically, pulling alora off of her infirmary bed gently. "wh─what?" alora looked at athena's daughter with wide eyes, earning a raised eyebrow from the gray eyed girl. "aren't you supposed to be a goody old shoes?" aethers daughter teased, "since when were you one to break the rules, princess?" the brunette continued giggling, making annabeth pout in embarrassment.
". . .since you wouldn't stop entering my mind. . ." the blonde girl mumbled, hiding her flushed face. "what was that, annie?" questioned alora, not hearing what her friend had said before as she was in her own little world ( as always ). "u─um nothing! stop being stubborn and just follow me!" athenas daughter whisper-yelled pulling the shiny eyed camper with her.
"woah. . ." gaped the green eyed girl, looking at the set up before her. there was a gray colored blanket with gold details on its trim placed down on the ground accompanied by four whitefluffy pillows and, lastly, some strawberry lacta chocolate bars ( aloras favourite! ). "you─you made all this?" she questioned, turning her head to look at annabeths shy smile. "do you like it?" the blonde melted at her friends goofy grin, "like it? i love it!" alora jumped on the gray eyed girls arms, sending them both down on the pillows the latter had set up.
"thank you so so so much, sweetheart!" the unclaimed campers eyes shined as she embraced her friend tightly. "you have made my day─ no screw that, my week! you have made my week!" alora laughed, kissing annabeths cheek quickly, earning a gasp from athenas daughter as she put her palm on the place the green eyed girl had pecked.
"im glad you like it. . ." the blonde pushed the hair away from her face, grabbing a chocolate bar and handing it to her friend. "here, i got this for you." she smirked seeing the stars forming in aloras eyes. before the girl could get a word out the dark skinned girl opened her mouth again, "had to make a deal with the stolls, my pockets are still hurting." the girl joked, not yet noticing the guilty look on aloras face.
"ill pay you back, i promise." the unclaimed camper nodded, making athenas daughters eyes widen. "no way. i made this for you, because you were injured. i won't let you pay me. this is like, my duty as your 'princess' after all." she reassured. "are you sure though? i know the stolls services are pretty expensive─" started the green eyed girl before getting cut off by a soft hand holding hers. "this is for you." the blonde said sternly, squeezing the brunettes hand, making her face heat up.
the unclaimed camper smiled softly before taking the chocolate and breaking it into two. "here, for my princess. i cannot leave her without a snack." she handed it to her friend, before looking up at the stars. the blonde froze for a moment, before she followed suit and looked at the night sky.
"and that right there," the blonde pointed at a set of stars, "thats the orion constellation." she revealed, an 'o' forming on the mouth of the girl next to her. "and what's his story?" alora questioned, knowing that the gray eyed girl loves her history more than anything and as she had predicted, her friends eyes shined with excitement as she started explaining.
"orion was a giant and extremely strong hunter. he was the son of poseidon and medusas sister," the blonde felt a chill run down her spine at the mention of the gorgon before continuing her story. "euryale. there are a lot of myths talking about orion's death, yet the most popular one says that," the gray eyed girl raised her finger in a 'matter of fact' fashion, "orion had threatend to kill every animal on earth, sending gaia─mother of all life─into rage. gaia then sent a scorpion to kill orion and once he was killed, artemis─who he used to hunt with─and the other goddesses asked zeus to put him in the sky as a memorial. he agreed and here we are!" the blonde finished, turning her head to look at alora only to realise she was already staring at her with a red face.
"you truly know everything. . ." the brunette sighed dreamily, a loving look on her eyes. the blonde girl didn't say anything, knowing that if she opened her mouth she would stutter and trip over her words. instead, she leaned in and kissed aloras nose softly, before wrapping her arms around her waist hiding her flushed face on her chest.
alora was left with her mouth hanging open. her face was so red if chiron saw it he would think she was sick with a fever and her heart was beating so fast she might as well be having a heart attack. after a moment of screaming in her mind the brunette embraced annabeth back with shaky arms and planted a kiss on her forehead.
athenas daughter eyes widen as she realised something, the gears turning in her head made a certain goddess smile in triumph.
violets time to shine!─ oh my god!! finally school is over! expect more chapters and maybe another pjo book soon! im actually happy about this chapter, im finally feeding you all. someone is finally realising their feelings for the other, hmmm. . . lastly, thank you all for 6k reads i never thought i would ever reach that milestone! i love you all so much and again, thank you for reading. stay safe!!
