Things have been going great with Huening Kai! It turns out, he is a really sweet person and loves otters. Soobin was just glad that he had something to occupy himself with after the fight he had with Yeonjun.
He knew he would eventually end up returning to Yeonjun, but not now.
Not yet.
"Soobinie, lets go get a plushie overthere!" Kai giggled as he ran across the arcade. Soobin smiled lightly and just nodded walking over to the happy boy. He seemed so pure, Soobin wanted to keep that.
oh how idiotic he was.
He but his lip, concentrating on the joystick. Shifting his hand this way, that way, up and down, he finally managed to grasp the toy. "yes!" he shouted in triumph. But that happiness soon ends once he realizes he lost the grip on the toy.
"Dammnit!" he shouted as he shoved another dollar in the slot. "Huening, this time, i, getting that damn otter" he said, determined this time.
His eyes squinted in concentration, his hand carefully holding the joystick as he shifted it to where the location of the otter was. He grabbed it, all he needed was the toy to fall in the hole.
"Wait Bin-" kai started but didn't get to finish as the toy already popped out of the machine. "that.. was the wrong one.." he mumbled under his breath.
Soobin noticed how gloom Huening Kai was and walked up to him. "Ning, whats up?" he asked, genuinely concerned. "I wanted the otter.." he said glumly.
"what?" soobin questioned. He was sure he got the otter out of the claw mechine, did he not?
Looking down at his hand that was grasping the toy, he then realized.
This wasn't an otter,
it was a fox.
"ARRGH DAMMIT!" Soobin yelled in anger as he threw the fox plush to the ground.
"Bin, its oka-"
"NO! dont fucking call me that!!" he screamed as everyone in the arcade looked at him, childern feeling frightened by his sudden outburst. "Soobin, the kids are staring.." he whisperd. Finally realizing what just happend, his cheeked turned a cherry pop red. He hung his head down low and buried jt in his hands messaging his temples.
"m' sorry.." he grumbled out an apology. Smile returning, kai responded, "its okay soobin hyung, just try and get the otter for me again!" he chirped a little too cheerfully after the reaction Soobin gave him.
He just lightly smiled in response and feebilly walked up to the claw mechine again and attempted once more for the otter.
He didn't even notice that he was white knuckling the damn thing, palms turning red and sweaty from his grip. He was sure to get the otter this time.
He picked it up, same routine, brought it over to the hole where it drops, and grabbed it from the basket it fell into.
He proudly held it up to an unoticed frowning huening with a dimpled smile. "Why the long face?" soobin asked after he opend his smile creased eyes to see a sad looking kai.
"Bin.. thats a rabbit and fox with a heart..." he said quietly, staring at his feet.
"WHAT?" soobin panicked and stared down at the plushie he was holding. Sure enough, it was of a small grey bunny, connected to a sly red fox by a heart. It was adorable, it was cute, it was sickening.
He wanted to throw it across the room, drown it in the ocean. But he stayed quiet and let out a long sigh.

Soobin and Yeonjun flashback~
"awwe your cheeks stretch like mochiii~" yeonjun cooed as he yanked soobins cheeks from side to side.
"Gah! Junnie, stop!!" he giggled, thwacking his hand away. "youch!" yeonjun pulled his hand back and pretended like it hurt, face holding a frown and everything.
"Oh come on, dotpnt give me those eyes.." Soobin begged. He always found himself lost in those eyes, cute yet gravitating.
"Ugh, I just can't help it! You're fucking adorable!!" yeonjun gushed as he brought soobin in for a tight hug, arms wrapped sround his small waist.
Soobin melted into a blushing mess, yet arms automatically reacted to his touch and wrapped around the older mans neck.
"Your cheeks are so chubby, you look like a bunny rabbit!" he smiled widely at the blushing boy he held in his warm embrace. How did he get so lucky?
Soobin breathed in his scent. The smell of sea salt, amber wood, and musk always made him feel at home. He felt like it was his first time in a bath and body works, smelling and sniffing everything he could lay his hands on.
"Sly fox, dumb bunny" he could feel yeonjun chuckle into his chest, it brought him butterlies in his stomach.
"I love you..." soobin whisperd, but not loud enough for yeonjun to hear.
Current time~
"Lets just.. Lets just go home.." Soobin mumbled as he walked away from the smirking huening kai going unoticed.
He was still holding the plushie.

Later on~
Soobin sobbed into the hospital bed as he held the nick and judy plushie tightly to his chest.
"w-why *hic* did i even *hic* y-yell at him?" he whisperd quietly to himself. Or at least he thought he did to himself.
Huening kai was right out the window, listening to every word he said, every move he made. It pleasured him to see him get tortured by his feelings. Falling inlove did that.
Soobin turned around to the bedside table to see a pot of roses, red, white, pink, and black, Oh how he hated black roses, they were Yuris favorite, and he made it his mission to fall out of love with them.
But he never did.
The beauty of black roses always captivated him, drew him to it. He thought of Yeonjun as a black rose. Tempting, desirable.
Black roses were many things,
A black rose can stop the beat of ones heart,
A black rose brings the scent of death as it tears love apart,
A black rose makes nightmares reality,
A black rose fills my life with uncertainty,
A black rose is forgotten hopes and dreams,
A black rose is a broken boy laying in tears and painful screams,

A black rose is the memories that haunt my restless soul,
A black rose took everything from me that once made me whole,
Including Yeonjun.
