The second Kanji's Mother tried to stab Jia, an explosion occurred and it threw her back.

"What the @$&%?"

Suddenly, to everyone's shock, Jia now had a massive spear in hand, and two beautiful wings sprouted from her back.

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!
JIA IS...

AN ANGEL??!

"Tsk.
"What harm can a child do to me?
"Demons, attack!"

Jia turned to Kanji in a panic.

I forgot.
She probably doesn't know what an angel is
Or how to use her powers.
A demon's powers should be similar,

"Copy my moves!"

Jia did her best to manipulate Kanji's fighting style, and after a long time successfully defeated all of the demons.

Only Kanji's Mother remained.

"Y-you....
"How could you do this...?
"You're one of u-"
"Jia quick! NOW!"

Jia delivered the finally blow, then fell the the ground.

"Are you hurt?"

Jia looked to the ground, frozen. She stared at the bodies in shock.

"I HATE YOU!!"
"Jia...cough cough...Calm down..."
"HOW DARE YOU HURT MOTHER?!"
"Jia...please..."
"So what? What's a little wimp like you going to do against us?"
"Grr..."
"Jia..NO!"

In a fit of rage Jia grabbed her spear, and in a flash of light skewered all of the kidnappers.
However...the explosion had killed more than just the kidnappers. It also killed all the nearby villages...and her mother.

"MOTHER!!"
"Jia...
"I know times will get hard....
"But you have to remember...
"You're an angel. You're job to protect humans...not k-kill...t-them..."
"hic..hic..I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry!!!"

"Jia, let's go."
"I-I-"
"Jia!"
"I-I-I"

Jia began to shake uncontrollably, as tears poured from her eyes.

"JIA!"

Kanji grabbed Jia by her arm.

"We have to go!"

Jia staggered to her feet, still trembling.

What's going on??
What memory is this??
I don't remember this at all??
Did...
Did I kill mother?
N-
No..!
I-I couldn't have!
B-but is that why mother is a g-ghost like lady?
I-Is it because of me?

ARGH!!

Suddenly a sharp pain hit Jia, as she collapsed.

"JIA!!"

I don't know what's happened...
But one thing I do know...
I'll protect you no matter what!

Kanji grabbed Jia and began to run.
He ran further and further into the woods.

I can hear demons coming!
They must've smelled the blood of their fellow members!
I gotta run faster!

"We're in a cavern, far away from the demons...don't worry."

"...when my mother stabbed you..."

"...when you turned into an angel!"
"...are you ok, Kanji...?
"I'm a human...like you..!"

What's going on?!!

I could have swore Jia turned into an angel!
S-she did!
She had wings and everything!
She killed the demons off!
I know she did!
Then...
How come she can't remember..?

"So...you know we ran away right?"
"Yeah...why..?"
"N-never mind. You just r-rest up."

So she remembers we ran away?
How much of her memory did she lose?
And did she even lose her memory?
Or am I the one going crazy...?
