37. Schism

Ignore the mistakes, (●'◡'●)

Jimin waits patiently as he looks around the room again, taking in the large hall he was asked to wait. The large glass wall was mesmerizing as it was showcasing the large Seoul city. He tried not to think too much about asking to come visit them again.

He quickly stands up watching a tall man with a suit walk in, followed by Gowon, the woman his dance teacher told him about. He bows to the man as the comer takes his seat and his face breaks out into a smile,

"It's wonderful to meet you, Park Jimin. I'm Jaeseok, manager of recruiting trainees",

"It's a pleasure to meet you too, sir", Jimin smiles taking his seat opposite him while Gowon sits next to Jimin.

"Actually, this would seem absurd but we're going to do an audition just for the records, you know", Jaeseok explains smiling all the while and Jimin nods obediently.

"What should I do, Sir?", Jimin asks about to stand but the man stops him,

"Let's wait for a few. A producer is on his way to see your audition", Jaeseok utters and Jimin nods somewhat getting nervous.

Gowon smiles at him and leans onto him, "Don't worry, Jimin. It's just a formality... nothing more. Just do your best",

Jimin nods and the manager gains their attention, "What are your parents' thoughts? Do we have to persuade them?",

"They already know sir and they're happy about it", The manager laughs and Jimin joins too, feeling nervousness grow.

The door opens suddenly and Jimin's breath hitches watching his ex-lover walks in but stops as soon as he notices him.

"Jimin?" Yoongi asks, but the surroundings change when Hoseok walks in, following Yoongi.

"Jimin!!", Hoseok is surprised and the manager looks between the three and stares at Jimin who looks down.

"You guys knew each other?", Gowon asks and Hoseok beams with Yoongi silently staring at Jimin.

"We're friends", Yoongi utters and Jaeseok stares at the three smiling, gesturing for the new entrees to take a seat.

"I guess we don't need an audition after all", The manager teases and Jimin shakes his head, catching the duo's eyes,

"But, I would like to audition", Jimin stands up determined, and the present four smile, especially Yoongi, and Hoseok with proud look on their face.

"I think we'll sign the contract today", The manager states and Yoongi smiles pleasantly at Jimin who looks away, getting ready to perform.

Jeongguk smiles brightly at his mother who stares at him breaking into a smile, that didn't quite reach her eyes.

"I'm back, Mom", The son plops down on the couch, sighing loudly. 

"Tired?", Eunsook asks ruffling her son's hair, taking a spot next to him.

"Kind of but am happy to see you", Jeongguk answers laying back on her lap, watching her face that shows little emotion and a lot of stress.

"So, you're here straightaway from school?", Eunsook queries, and Jeongguk nods because that's what his mother asked him to do. She called him while he was at school and asked him to come home straight after school ends.
