"Shut up" I groan and I turn off the alarm

I stretch while getting out of bed and walking to my closet to pick out an outfit

Time skip

I sit on my gaming chair for the last 10 minutes I have before I have to go to school

*Ringtone*

Who's calling me this early?

What? That can't be right, why is she calling me I haven't spoken to her in months

I hesitate but I answer

"Hello?" I say

"Oh thank god you answered dear,  I wasn't sure if your already in school or not but I just have 1 thing to tell you and that is to open our front door"

"Alright then?" I say, getting up from the chair and walking down stairs

Why is she acting like I haven't seen her in ages, my parents are always gone for work, they don't even text me.. I could be dead and they wouldn't of even known

I start to unlock the door not knowing what or who's on the other side

"Mom?" I say in a very surprised tone

"Hi dear" she replies, pulling me into a hug

"How did you get here? where's dad? are you staying for long? is dad coming?-"

I pull away from the hug and let her inside

"Woah woah woah woah 1 question at a time"

We sit on the couch and I start to ask alot of questions

"So.. where's dad? Is he here aswell? When is he coming? How long will you be staying for?"

"Sweetie 1 question at a time.. but I do have some news"

"Your leaving again aren't you?"
I look at her signaling to coutine

"Well.. not just that. Your dad and I are getting a divorce-"

"WHAT?! No no no no no no no?! Why!?"

"It's a log story let's just say something happened and we got into a massive fight, like bad bad" she says

"Oh.."
I stare at floor, processing what my mother just told me

"When are you leaving?" I ask her

"I'll be gone by tonight"
She explains some more and I completely forgot about school, if I were to leave now I'd be 2 hours late

I check my phone and see minx has spammed me, asking me where I was and if something happened

I stare at the texts, zoning out again

"Im so sorry sweetie, but I have to leave now"

"Mhmm of course" I say, standing up

She does the same and gives me one last hug before saying bye and driving off with her Uber

I close the front door and I lean on, slowly going until I'm sitting on the floor with my knees up to my chest

I don't bother going to school, I look like a complete mess, mascara all ruined, running down my cheek with my tears and I won't be able to focus on anything

I look at my phone
Minx texted me again

I check what she says and I finally decided to answer

I stand up from all the banging on my door
I open and see a very worried minx

"Y/n what's wrong what happened?" She says straight away, pulling me into a hug roughly

"My.. my p-arents-" I stutter

"Hey hey hey take your time" she intrupts me and drags me over to the couch

"My parents are getting a divorce"

"What? What there's no way"

I shrug. Not knowing what else to say

I eventually explain everything to her about what just happened, I know I can trust minx

"I'm so sorry y/n.." she pulls me into another hug, atleast I have someones shoulder to cry on

Minx stayed over for the whole day, I feel bad, I didnt want her to waste her entire day just to stay with me
