"Thanks for hanging out with Kashmir for the day." Kody took off her shaw and set it on an empty salon chair. She had just finished some simple straight backs in Kash's hair with a zig-zag design. That was enough to wear her out. Mainly because he wanted to get up every five minutes.
"You know I love my figlioccio." Ivanna smiled looking at Kashmir, "I love you too, Nona." He smiled a toothless grin at his Godmother. No matter what Ivanna was going to show up for Kash, she never missed a beat. From doctor appointments to school events, she was there.
"Thank you for allowing me to use your salon too. You sure you don't want me to give you some money?" Kody asked wiping down her chair for the client she had.
"Girl bye, we going to lunch and a movie. We'll stop by before the movie to bring you something to eat. What style you doing again and who's it for? I didn't recognize the name." Ivanna grabbed her bag and a light jacket. There were a few kid styles that got booked and when they did, they all went to Koko. Ivanna simply didn't have the patience for doing children's hair.
Kody was truly grateful for Ivanna's hair salon. There were times she didn't have money for her light bill, food or rent but Ivanna knew how prideful she was and instead of lending the money she gave her clients.
Kody loved it, she was happy that her son had long hair but she craved having a daughter. So that she could put beads and ballies in her hair, matching outfits, all of it.
"I'm not sure, the mom hit me up on Instagram and I told her how to book. Some lil girl named Zhuri." Kody shrugged laying out the beads her mom had requested.
"Okay sis, we'll see you in an hour or two." Ivanna stretched and waited for Kash to give his mother some love. "Come give me a kiss," Koko stated talking to her son.
