Hi.
Welcome to more toxicity quick lil filler.
🤍
Kody sat on her living room floor looking at the packet Kashmir had brought home two days ago. She wished she would have gotten the information first before telling her son yes. There was no way she could afford for him to play. They were asking for two thousand dollars.
"Damn." She sighed throwing the papers on the table in front of her. Picking up her phone she saw several missed texts from Cream but she wasn't messing with him right now.
Dialing a number, it rang a few times before an older woman's voice came through the receiver. "Hello?"
"Hey, big mama. It's Kody. I just need a favor, it's for Kash." She was desperate and Big Mama always pulled through, even when she wasn't expecting her to.
"Kody. Hi baby!" Big Mama said back into the phone, there was scrambling on the other end of the line. Kody's older sister snatched the phone from Big Mama.
"Kody, you don't call Big Mama and ask how she's doing or nothin'. Still, the same selfish ass lil girl you've always been. Don't call here. Bye." The phone line went dead before she could even say anything back.
Slamming her phone on the table she bit her thumbnail, "Mommy? Is everything okay?" Kashmir asked running into the living room.
"Sit down baby. We gotta talk." Kody patted the floor next to her where Kash slowly walked over to her, "What's up Mommy?"
Kody blew out a breath, "I'm sorry baby but mommy cant afford football. I should've asked before I said yes but even with the overtime I'm doing I just can't." Kashmir's face fell to the ground he was sitting on.
"Did you try Big Mama?" Kashmir asked looking up at his mom, he had already told the guys on the football team he was going to be joining them. Now, he had to advise them he wouldn't be because his mother couldn't afford it.
"Auntie Kyan took the phone from Big Mama and hung up on me baby." Kody leaned back on the couch, should she swallow her pride and talk to Cream or just let it go? Without a second thought, she decided to let it go. There was no way she was asking that nigga for anything.
"Okay .." Thick tears grazed the cusp of Kashmir's eyes just as his mother glanced over at him. "Come here, baby." Kody tried to console her son but he ran off to his room and closed the door. She wanted to cry herself. What kind of mother can't furnish fun things to do for her child? She thought about asking his Nona but she needed to find her own way.
