Now that the team had a sense as to who this woman was and why she was killing people, they were less inclined to see her as a cold-blooded killer. With their - limited - information gathered on Carter, they now saw Y/N as a distressed mother, doing what she could to see her son again.

Y/N
"Would you like some water? Maybe some coffee?" Agent Jareau asked as she walked into the interrogation room.

"Some tea would be nice? It keeps me calm and helps me relax." You smiled. You were surprised.

Even after seeing how many people you had killed, this woman - this FBI Agent - hadn't hesitated to be nice. Unlike Agent Hotchner, Agent Jareau was kind, and seemed to understand.

That's when you started to worry. M was a very powerful man. He was an American Mafia leader. There was no doubt that he had connections, which meant that he had unknown - and often illegal - ways of keeping tabs on people.

You figured that if he hadn't heard from you in 24 hours, he'd know that something was wrong, and figure out a way to make sure that you stayed silent.

Spencer walked into the interrogation room. He put the paper cup in front of her and sat down.

"So, Y/N. Can you explain to us everything that has happened since you were 16?" Dr. Reid asked, crossing his arms.

"I- If he finds o- out that I said anything to you, he'll kill me. He will find me and he'll kill me." You warned the Agents, both of whom glanced at each other.

"It's okay, Y/N. You're here. He - M - can't get to you." Agent Jareau smiled.

"I came home on January 20th to find my whole family dead. My mom, her neck was sliced open. My dad, he was shot, execution style. My brother...he...uh, he was shot in the heart and then hung from the back balcony." You explained, trying not to cry.

It was the first time 6 years that you had ever spoken about that day, the day that your life changed forever.

"That's when...he appeared. He have me a gun and...f- from that day forward, I was his...contract killer. He'd give me the info, the methods and I'd carry out the kill. He'd pay me $5,000 for each and every kill that I carried out." You explained, trying not to cry.

"When did...Carter come along?" Dr. Reid asked. He looked curious.

"I remember the date. April 6th. I was...uh- blindfolded in my hotel room. The guy...he, y'know and 2 weeks later...I fell sick. I was out of work for 40 weeks. Then Carter arrived. The moment I saw him, I instantly loved him." You cried, trying to keep yourself from breaking down even more.

"Minutes after Carter was born, that...bastard M took him away from me. Said that I didn't deserve to hold him." You scoffed.

"We're so sorry that happened to you, Y/N." Agent Jareau exhaled.

"Do either of you have children?" You looked between Agent Jareau and Dr. Reid.

"Yes. I do." Agent Jareau smiled.

"How did you feel when your child was born?" You asked.

"Just like you, I instantly fell in love with him." She smiled again.

"Be glad that your child wasn't taken from you. I barely got a day to recover before I was forced back to work." You exhaled.

"I need you both to know that I never once enjoyed killing those men, women and children. Please don't think I ever found any joy from murdering people." You begged.

"We believe you. Don't worry. If and when we get the identity of your boss, he'll most likely be charged with the murders. From our perspective, you're just an unwilling participant." Agent Jareau held your hand.

"I- Is that a deal of some sort? Because if it is, I'm in...as long as you can promise me that I'll get to hold my son again." You questioned, hopeful.

"Yes. We can make it a deal. We'll set you up in a safe-house. We'll work to ensure that we can get your son back to you safely. In return, all we need is as much info on your boss as possible, as well as other information as to the operation that your boss runs." Dr. Reid nodded.

"Sure. Whatever it takes." You nodded, smiling.
