SPENCER
Y/N, Carter and I spent 3 days in Vegas. 2 of the 3 days were spent with my mom. They got along super well. I learned more about Y/N's family history through his mother's questions and she learned more about my family history from the stories that my mother told.

"Are you and your parents close? It's important for parents and children to be close. That's why Spencer is so caring." My mom smiled, curious.

"Oh, I - uh, my parents died in a...car accident when I was 16." Y/N lied, trying to be as calm as possible.

"I'm so sorry, Y/N. That's terrible." My mom gasped, apologising for her question.

On the last day in Vegas, we took my mom out for the day. We visited the local park and did some clothes shopping. We stopped by a café, getting some lunch. As we ate, Y/N took Carter to the bathroom. For some reason, my mother took this chance to convince me to marry Y/N. To her credit, I had sort of begun to imagine my future with Y/N, so to have my mother's approval, I loved the idea even more.

"That girl, she's a keeper." My mother held my hand, smiling.

"I- I know." I nodded, smiling.

"She's a smart and beautiful girl, plus...her son is so adorable and smart. Y'know, he reminds me of you when you were a child. So full of knowledge and willing to learn and read." My mother smiled, holding my hand.

"You'd be a fool not to spend the rest of your life with her. And yes, I know that you've barely started dating her, but she compliments you so well. You have a really good relationship with both her and her son. I really do hope that in the future, you return with her and she has a diamond ring on her finger." My mother smirked, clearing her throat just before Y/N and Carter returned from the bathroom.

GENERAL
Y/N, Carter and Spencer returned to the BAU. The entire car ride back to the office consisted of Carter asking when he'd be able to see Diana again. Obviously, neither Y/N nor Spencer could give him a solid answer, considering his schedule with work.

Arriving back to the office, they headed up to the 6th floor. The moment they entered the bullpen, they furrowed their eyebrows in confusion when they noticed that no one was in the conference room or at their desks. Y/N let Carter go and hang out with Will and Henry, who had come in when JJ let him know that Y/N and Spencer would return.

Just as they went go to message any of the team, Penelope exited Rossi's office and held her index finger up to her mouth, her other hand gesturing for them to follow her. They walked up the steps and headed into Rossi's office, confused when they saw everyone standing or sitting around the office.

Y/N went to say something, but Penelope shook her head, her finger still over her mouth gesturing for them to remain silent. She gestured for both their phones to be handed over. Confused, Y/N and Spencer did what they were "told" and handed their phones to Penelope, who put their phones into a secret compartment.

"Now that we are secure, I got that for Rossi last year. Not only is it a cigar case, but it's also a Faraday case. It blocks all radio and cell signals." Penelope exhaled.

"What's going on?" Y/N asked, crossing her arms.

"While you two and Carter were away in Vegas, - hopefully having a nice time - a package was dropped off here, at the office." Hotch spoke.

"Whoever dropped it off knew where the security cameras were since they managed to keep their face hidden. The only identifiable part of their attire was a black and white bandana that covered a majority of their face, as well as a pair of large black sunglasses." Penelope pulled up security footage on her computer, showing the unidentifiable person.
