When Y/N opened her eyes, all she felt was pain. From her toes to her head, pain shot through her body like an electric shock.
In all honesty, Y/N couldn't remember anything from the past 10 hours. The last thing she remembered was being dragged up stairs while Marco gripped her neck and arms, trying to keep her in his grasp for as long as possible. After that, her vision went blurry and she felt like she was half awake, ready to collapse into a deep sleep the moment Marco let go of her.
That's why she panicked when she woke up to the sounds of machines beeping around her. She currently rested in the hospital, Spencer by her side. The moment she tried to move her hands, every part of her body froze in pain. She watched as Spencer changed his position, seeing her awake.
"Hey, you're awake." Spencer smiled, leaning forward.
"E- Everything...hurts." Y/N whimpered, trying her best not to move.
"Yeah. You're gonna be here for a while. You were severely injured while you were taken by Marco." Spencer nodded, exhaling.
"Fuck, w- where's Marco? Is he gone?" Y/N asked, coughing a little.
"Marco is gone. Interpol took him." Spencer smiled.
"Carter?! Where's Carter?! Is he okay, please tell me he's okay?!" Y/N started to panic, realising that she didn't know if her son was alive or not. She tried to move, but the more she did, the more pain she put herself in.
"Carter is fine, Y/N. He's okay. He's great, actually. He's in his hospital room down the hall. JJ and I have been watching over him since we rescued him." Spencer reassured Y/N, who took a deep breath in and out, trying to relax. She calmed down a bit, feeling the tears form in her eyes as she thought about actually being able to hold her son again.
"I need to see him. Can I see him?" Y/N questioned, her heart racing.
"You will be able to see him, when you're doing better." Spencer explained.
"I- I need to see him. Please! Let me see him!" She cried, trying to move even slightly. She knew her injuries were extensive, but the sooner she saw her son, the better she'd feel.
"Not yet, Y/N. I promise, the moment the doctors see that you're better, you will get to hold your son again." Spencer held her hand, reassuring her.
"I- I just want to see my son." Y/N looked up at the ceiling, feeling the tears roll down her cheeks.
"You'll see him soon, I promise." Spencer smiled, wiping her tears away.

(2 Weeks Later)As instructed, Y/N spent 2 weeks resting. All cuts caused by glass and other sharp objects - like a knife - were stitched up. As for any internal injuries, Y/N was lucky, and didn't sustain any major broken bones or internal bleeding.
So, after the first week was done, Spencer helped Y/N move around, successfully helping her walk normally again. Her bruising was still bad, but she was able to walk a little.
Soon enough, she was able to walk around with help. Spencer was happy to lend her his cane until she was more stable. Every day, she continually asked about seeing her son, which she hoped would be soon.
The team visited her, Penelope bringing food that was better than hospital food.
At 1 PM on Monday, Spencer walked into Y/N's hospital room, a smile on his face.
"W- What's going on? Why are you smiling?" She asked, confused.
"There's someone who would like to see you. They're outside." Spencer helped Y/N off the bed before watching as she cautiously walked outside her hospital room. Taking a few steps away from the door, she looked to her left, her heart instantly racing.
There he was, standing by JJ's side as she looked down at the boy, nodding. Y/N almost fell to the floor in happiness, unable to stop the tears of joy from running down her cheeks. She dropped to her knees, Spencer quickly wrapping his arms around her torso so she wouldn't hurt herself. As soon as he knew she was safely kneeling against the floor, he let Y/N go, watching as she covered her mouth, unable to believe that her son was standing only feet away from her.
"C- Carter." She breathed, sobbing,
"Mommy!" Carter ran as fast as he could toward his mother, who didn't hesitate to open her arms, ready for a big hug, which he quickly accepted. Spencer kept an eye on them, making sure that Carter didn't knock over his mother.
Standing aside, JJ took out her phone and quickly snapped a picture of Y/N finally getting to hold her son in her arms.
Carters hands rested around Y/N's neck, while she clung onto him like a child would hold onto a teddy. She sobbed even more, making the surrounding nurses and team cry.
"They're finally reunited...after 5 years." Penelope cried, wiping her tears away.
