Y/N
You were shocked to see another message from M. The moment his text came through, you and Spencer headed back to the BAU, informing Agent Hotchner.

"What did he ask you to do?" Morgan asked, confused.

"He wants me to meet up with him. It's been 2 years since I've seen him. I can't." You shook your head.

"Y/N if we can get some info on this guy, it's in our best interest that we use your help." Emily asked.

"I can't! The last time I saw him, he...he held a knife to my neck and threatened to kill me because I rejected one of his targets." You objected.

"This meet up might be your only chance to hear about or hear from Carter." Agent Jareau exhaled.

"Y/N, can I talk to you, privately?" Spencer asked. You nodded, heading out of conference room, following Spencer.

"You need to understand me, Spencer. That man, he is dangerous. My life is instantly in danger if he even for a moment believes that I've betrayed him." You begged him to understand.

"Listen to me, Y/N. Agent Jareau is right. The only way we can continue to find a safe way to get Carter back to you safely, is if you meet with M. It might be scary, and rightfully so, but I promise you, we will have the meeting area surrounded. You'll be miked up, and we'll have you record the entire conversation. We won't let anything happen to you." Spencer put his hands on your shoulders and smiled, trying to reassure you.

"F- Fine." You nodded, agreeing.

You and Spencer returned to the conference room, everyone going through the plan. You messaged him back and got a meeting place set up.

———

You currently sat in a public park, a tea in your hands. You had a mic taped to the bottom of your bra (thanks to Agent Jareau). A burner phone was resting in your pocket, having started recording the moment you sat down at the table.

Agent Hotchner and Agent Morgan hid behind a large tree just over 6 feet away. Agent Jareau, Agent Prentiss and Spencer all wore disguises, pretending to be normal people. Spencer and Agent Jareau were sitting at a chess board, watching you closely. Agent Prentiss sat on a park bench alone, a newspaper in her hands.

As for Agent Rossi, he remained in an unmarked car, a pair of binoculars in his hands.

"Long time no see, M." You exhaled, shaking his hand.

"It definitely has been a long time. Please Y/N, call me Marco." He smiled.

"Alright, Marco, what is the reason behind this spontaneous meet up?" You questioned.

"Now, now. Let's not rush this. I haven't had the chance to admire your beauty yet. 2 years is a long time Y/N. You've changed...you've blossomed." He smiled.

You looked at Marco. He wore dark sunglasses and his face was covered, mostly by the mask he wore.

"Is Carter still...alive?" You asked, worried.

"Yes. Your little boy is fine. He's a little skinny, but I'm sure we can fatten him up. I mean, I can't train him like I trained you if he's still skinny." Marco laughed.

"What?" Your eyes widened.

"Oh, did I forget to tell you? The agreement that we made is no longer available. Your son is truly a fighter. He's a bit defiant, like his mother. He'd make an excellent contract killer - when he's a bit older, of course." Marco explained.
