Taehyung didn't seem impressed about the house, but Y/n, on the other hand, was in awe.

"The ceiling is so high," Y/n smiled as she looked up.

"Oh, Y/n. Come see this!"

They walked into the kitchen, and Y/n jumped with excitement. After looking at the kitchen, they went to Y/n's and Taehyung's room. Taehyung raised his eyebrows and signed. Y/n ran and jumped on the king-sized bed. Next, they went to the nursery. Taehyung felt uneasy when he saw the crib. Everything was going too quickly for his liking. He wanted it to slow down. He wanted to enjoy being newly married to Y/n. Also, the thought of kids freaked him out. Taehyung felt as if he wasn't ready for kids. He still needs to go through all of college. Y/n was the opposite. She longed to be a mother and a good housewife. That's all she ever wanted. She wasn't ready for a kid yet, but she hoped that one-day Taehyung would give her the gift of a child.

The alarm went off, causing Y/n to jump away. She lazily reached over to the side table to turn it off. Upon hitting the off button, Y/n slowly sat up with narrowed eyes. It was 6 am. Her gaze stopped on Taehyung, her husband. She smiled at him.

"Today is my first day as a wife. Next to me is my beloved husband. Taehyung is still asleep. It feels great to see this cute sleeping face every morning. Seeing this cute sleeping face every morning is a great feeling," Y/n smiled at her thoughts.

For a perfect husband, she was going to make an excellent breakfast. A traditional Korean breakfast that consists of galbitang, sides, and rice. Once Taehyung eats, she will send him off to work. Y/n placed her hands on her cheeks as she returned to lying on the bed. She imagined Taehyung's hand on her neck as he went down for a goodbye kiss. She could feel the warmth in her imaginary kiss. Y/n opened her eyes and looked over to see Taehyung missing.

"Huh?" Her lips pressed into a thin line as she looked around the room for Taehyung. She freaked out and grabbed her phone to check what time it was.

8 am.

"Crap!" she sprung out of bed and hurried into the kitchen.

Yuki sat at the kitchen table, enjoying the pancakes Minji had prepared for the group.

"Good morning," Yuki said,

"Y/n, you could have slept in longer," Minji said; she wiped her hands with a towel.

"Well, I... Um," Y/n fumbled with her words.

She felt a surge of panic in her chest upon seeing an empty plate. That had to be Taehyung's

"You must be tired," Minji giggled, approaching Y/n.

"Because of something, right?" She wiggled her eyebrows, and Y/n's mouth went into an "O" shape.

"You failed as a new wife," Yuki snorted, and Y/n snapped her head towards Yuki.

"Poor older brother got married to a lazy woman. I wonder if he regrets it right now," Yuki grumbled before eating another bit of his food.

Y/n tugged on her hair and closed her eyes. Then she remembered something. Where is Taehyung?

"Where is Taehyung?" Y/n asked Yuki.

"I don't know. I think Taehyung left already," Yuki answered.

"What!?" Y/n left the kitchen quickly and straight to the front door.

"Thank goodness you're still here, Y/n let out a breath she didn't know she was holding.

"Good morning," Taehyung said, looking into Y/n eyes.

"I'm sorry," Y/n mumbled, scratching the back of her neck.

"Since the alarm went off so early in the morning, I was looking forward to what I might get for breakfast," Taehyung said nonchalantly.

"I thought to myself. Man, married life is great. I have an amazing wife," Taehyung narrowed his eyes at his wife.

"Well, I-- I'll do it tomorrow! I'll do it tomorrow for sure!" Y/n felt terrible that she started as a lousy housewife.

"No, you won't," He gave a half smile.

"Because I don't expect you to do it," Taehyung patted Y/n's head.

"Well then, I'm off," Taehyung turned on his heels, grabbed the door handle, and got ready to leave.

"Wait a minute, Taehyung," Y/n and Taehyung looked back and saw Minji holding a camera with a sly grin planted on her lips.

"Taehyung, isn't there something you have forgotten?" Minji pointed to her lips and then pointed at Y/n.

Taehyung cocked his head to the right with his eyebrow raised. Minji groaned and walked over to them.

"When saying, 'I'm off' to your new wife, you have to kiss her," Once Minji said that, she pulled the camera up to take a picture of them kissing.

Taehyung sighed in annoyance while pinching the bridge of his nose. Y/n stuck her lips out and waited for Taehyung to kiss her.

"When the camera is pointed at me like that, I can't do it," Taehyung snapped.

Minji removed the camera and looked away.

"Please stop," Taehyung said.

Y/n pressed her lips in a thin line while looking down.

"I'll kiss her when I want to. Leave us alone," Taehyung said, giving his mother a stern look.

Minji laughed and said,

"Taehyung, thinking that you can do anything romantic alone is funny. But first, as newlyweds, aren't you forgetting something important?"

Taehyung and Y/n glanced at each other confusedly, then back at Minji.

"Don't tell me you forgot," Minji smiled, crossing her arms.

Y/n realized what Minji was talking about. She mentioned it in the kitchen earlier. Y/n nervously laughed while tucking her hair behind her ear.

"Well, about that. It's already been covered during our honeymoon--" she began to rumble on.

"Marriage registration," Minji pointed at Taehyung.

"What?" Y/n gasped, leaving her mouth gaped open.

"You forgot, didn't you? Seriously, Taehyung. You wouldn't go to the ward office. How can you forget such an important thing?" Minji got onto her son.

Y/n felt her heart in her throat.

"So, without a marriage registration, we're not married?!" Y/n screeched.

"That's right," Minji said.

"I'm still Lee Y/n?" Y/n mumbled, pulling on her hair.
