I stood in the Nursing lecture room 1 with Kiki, Sunny, Macey, and Kai—one of Taehyung's professors discussing starting a clinical practice the following Monday. The professor held up his figure for us to hold on while he pulled out some papers. "This is that material from Tonan University Hospital," He hands it to Kai, who grabs it with both hands and slightly bows his head. "My heart is beating so fast! I wonder if there will be any handsome male patients?" Kiki said excitedly as she waited for her paper which Kai was passing down. "What would happen if I fell in love with a patient?" Macey giggled, grabbing onto Kiki's arm and shaking it. I snatched the paper and scanned my eyes over it.

The time has finally come! I wonder what kind of patients I will meet. I closed my eyes with a wide smile. I could imagine helping little kids and helping the granny who mentioned that she reminded me of her granddaughter. A man who gives up on himself, but I tell him I have faith that he will recover, that he is strong enough to keep going.

"Hey, Kim! Come back to reality!" The professor's voice boomed across the room, making me startle in my seat. I looked around, momentarily disoriented by the sudden interruption. "Sorry," I stammered, offering a sheepish smile as I tried to regain my composure. "Don't let your mind wander when you're practicing," He pointed at each of us, who nodded quickly. "I have you the sheets with the patient's details. Go to the Orthopedics Department, where you will intern," He said seriously, giving us each a look.

He stood up from his chair, the pristine white doctor's coat shifting as he pushed it back to place his hands in his front pockets. His eyes surveyed the room with a sense of purpose before he spoke, "It's crucial that you read and understand these documents thoroughly. It will greatly aid in providing better care for our patients." "Yes!" we responded in unison, understanding the gravity of his words. With a single nod, he acknowledged our commitment before striding out of the room, leaving us to absorb his instructions.

"Good morning. I am Jung Yuna, the head nurse," she stated in a loud voice. We bowed and said, "Good morning." I found myself standing in front of nurses with white dresses on instead of pink dresses. We were in a room where you would go and get IVs, needles, medication, and other simple medical supplies. "From today, for two weeks, these are the students who will be doing their nursing practice here at the Orthopedic Department," Nurse Yuna said to the women in white. They did one nod then Yuna looked over at us. "Everyone, if you have any questions, please consult your seniors," Nurse Yuna motioned her hand to the seniors.

I looked back over, and my smile dropped when I saw how serious they looked. Each woman had a glare on their face. They looked at us like we were their next prayer. I gulped nervously, feeling myself become less confident under their gaze. I could tell my friends felt the same way.

 I'm so nervous...

I walked into a shared room for patients who weren't in horrible conditions. I closely followed behind the senior, and luckily, I got one who wasn't too hard on me. I learned that her name is Kim Nayoung. "Good morning, Mrs. Lindsay. I have an intern here. This is Nurse Kim. She will be here for two weeks starting today," Nurse Nayoung said sweetly. "it's nice to meet you," I said and gave a slight bow. Lindsay had her hand up in the air, holding something long going down her back. It was a backscratcher. She gave me a look that wasn't nice at all. I felt more nervous than ever. She sighed while pulling out the back scratcher. "What's your name?" She asked, pointing at me.

I gave a small glance to Nayoung, who turned her head toward Lindsay. I looked back at the patient. "My name is Kim Y/n." "Ah, I won't remember it anyway, " she grumbled, waving her hand at me. I blinked a couple of times, feeling confused. Lindsay put the back scratcher behind her back again, going up and down against her back. "I bet you can't change the sheets efficiently," she muttered, avoiding eye contact.
