Minji placed a large bowl of mixed seafood in the middle of the dinner table. The yummy smell filled the room, lighting everyone's mood. Bon clapped, getting excited to eat it.
"I wanted to show off my cooking skills, so I prepared a seafood feast!" she said excitedly before sitting at the dinner table beside Yuki. "This might be my new favorite dish!" Yuki said, smelling the food. Minji giggled, patting her son's arm. "Oh, it looks delicious!" Bon said, side-glancing at Taehyung. "This is a restaurant-quality dish," Y/f/n said, grinning. Minji waved her hands while laughing. "No, no. It's embarrassing to offer my dish to a professional like you," Minji said, covering her mouth and hiding her blush from his complement.

"Help yourselves!" Minji smiled, gesturing at the food. "Thank you," Bon, Yuki, and Y/f/n watched silently as they slowly gazed upon Y/n and Taehyung. The air was filled with crickets, their chirping the only noise as Taehyung and Y/n sat across each other, pointedly refusing to make eye contact. Uncomfortable glances were exchanged among the rest of the family, the tension palpable in the air. "D-Dig in," Minji mumbled, waving her hand for Bon to give her his plate. "Don't forget the squid." Bon chuckled, getting excited. "Can you guess what this is?" Minji asked, pointing to one of the sea foods. "Salmon?" Yuki asked, looking at his mother with an odd expression.

"Yes!" Minji shouted, exaggerating, sightly looking at Y/n, hoping she was saying something or laughing. "I can't have too much salmon, or I'll be on the toilet all day," Y/f/n joked, making everyone laugh. The laughter abruptly ceased when neither Y/n nor Taehyung responded to the joke with laughter. "Thanks for the meal," Taehyung said before getting up. Y/n continued to eat, not sparing a glance at Taehyung. "You're finished already? You barely ate the main course—just your soup," Minji muttered, feeling a little upset that her son didn't eat.

"Yeah, I'm taking a shower and going to bed," Taehyung said before leaving for his room. Y/n drank a big gulp of her juice before getting up as well. Thanks for the meal," she whispered, not looking at her family. You too?" Minji whined. Y/n felt a little bad, but she had no appetite to eat. It made her feel nauseated. "I'm tired," She looked at Minji before shooting her eyes over at Bon. "Bon?" Bon looked at his daughter-in-law with a nod. "Can I use your study for a while?" She asked nicely. "Y-Yeah, of course, you may," Bon studdered. "Thank you. I have a test right after the break, so I need to work on it,"

"Isn't it better to study with Taehyung?" Minji asked. "Taehyung said he was going to sleep," Y/n mumbled. "I wouldn't worry about that," Minji giggled, grabbing Y/n's hand. "I don't want to be a nuisance," Y/n whispered, feeling her throat close up. She gave Minji a small smile before walking away. The family looked at each other with worried expressions. "They are being weird. Something must have happened," Minji mumbled, biting her thumbnail. "Lately, they are ignoring each other. What should we do?" Minji asked, staring at Y/f/n and her husband. "If this goes on, divorce is only a matter of time," Yuki whispered, picking at his food.

"Yuki, don't say that!" Minji scolded her son. "You know what they say about 'One should not interfere in love quarrels'? They will figure it out," Y/f/n said before taking some of his food.

Y/n was on the floor of Bon's study room. Her notebooks and textbooks lay all over the coffee table in front of an expensive leather couch. She was having a hard time pronouncing a word or understanding anything. Her mind was in a fumble, not focusing right. "The diencephalon... bridge...? Oh, the pons? Ugh," Y/n whined, her head slumping to the side. "I can't concentrate," She groaned, rotated her neck, and slipped back on the couch. She stared at the ceiling, and her eyes drifted to a nearby window that showed the moon. It reminded Y/n of the night when Kai hugged her from behind and whispered in her ear. Whatever she does, Kai's voice from that night won't stop ringing in her ear.

In that solemn moment, Y/n laughed, unwrapping Kai's arm around her and turning to face him. "Stop messing around, Kai!" She pushed his arm, feeling flustered. "Joking around..." she nervously chuckled, going to grab her purse. Are you making fun of a married woman?" she asked, not looking at Kai. Kai stayed quiet, which made things awkward. Y/n side-eyed him, wondering if he had walked away or stayed. Kai turned around, his back now facing her. "I'll see you home," Kai mumbled before walking away. "O-Okay," Y/n whispered, not daring to look back. Kai was a little ahead of her, so she started walking behind him.

From then on, they haven't spoken a word. Whether he was joking or trying to comfort her, nobody else embraced her apart from Taehyung. That's why she panicked. She's also barely spoken with Taehyung since then. Y/n wants to reconcile with him... somehow. He seems to be avoiding her. Y/n sighed, shifting back to her textbooks. "It's no use thinking about this," She spoke to herself while tapping her cheeks. "I'm going to go to bed," She said, cleaning up her books. Y/n finished quickly and quietly entered her room, finding Taehyung sleeping soundly. She sighed softly, closed the door, and placed her books on her desk, glancing at her husband.

She tip-toed over to Taehyung and stared at him with soft eyes. Taehyung's sleeping face was sweet, and she felt a small smile on her lips, but it slowly fell. "When did we become like this?" Tears filled her eyes as she thought, her hand stretching to touch his face. She stopped when she was inches away and pulled her hand back to her chest. She felt like she couldn't touch him, kiss him, be around him. Although they were this close, she couldn't kiss him, which pained her.

The new semester finally started after the long break, and Y/n carefully made her way toward the nursing department, feeling ready to learn. Her hair was messy, and she wore a white shirt with a bargain and black leggings. "Good morning," A voice said, scaring Y/n. Her shoulders shot up while turning around to face Kiki and Macey. She sighed with a smile when she saw her friend. "It's you, Kiki," She giggled. Kiki gave her a surprised look with her eyebrow raised and her arms crossed. "Why are you like that?" She asked, walking around Y/n like she was interrogating Y/n. "Is there someone you don't want to see?" Kiki asked, causing Y/n's eyes to widen.

"Well, not really..." Y/n muttered, scratching the back of her neck. "Oh, Kai!" Macey exclaimed, causing Y/n's body to tense up. She wriggled around to face Kai, who was already looking at her. She hadn't seen him since he hugged her from behind that night. Her heart quickened with nervousness as he approached her with a small smile. Y/n didn't know whether to smile back or run away. "Hey! It's been a while," Kai said to the group. "It has been a while," Y/n said nervously with a smile, but it dropped quickly when Kai said her name.

"Y-Yes? What?" She shouted out of nervousness. Kiki looked at her with a weird face, wondering what was wrong with her friend. "Did you... write the report on the pathophysiology?" Y/n face turned into a questioning look. "Huh? pathophysiology?" Y/n asked, leaning her head forward in a questioning manner. "Don't tell me you haven't done it?" Kai snapped, causing Y/n to cover her mouth. She gave an innocent smile while backing up slowly. "We can't complete our assignment because of you!" He shouted, making Y/n coward back into Kiki's arms.  "I'm sorry!" Screamed Y/n, trying to get away from him.

Y/n felt relief when she realized that Kai was back to normal. He had been a real jokester that night...  Y/n turned to him, holding her arms before her, trying to calm him down."It's okay, it's alright," She nervously said, causing Kai to look at her with fire in his eyes. He took a step towards her, making her scream and run a few feet.

Y/n was back in Bon's study room, sitting where she was the last time. The same books were scattered all over the coffee table. The bear she made from Taehyung's clothing sat on the table. Y/n had difficulty understanding her subject; there was nothing new there, but she felt confident she could do this without anyone's help. She glanced at the bear with a sigh. "Teddy Bear Taehyung. I want to be accepted by you by getting good grades and makeup," she said softly, touching the bear's toes.

Taehyung sat in his room, trying to do his studies, but recently, it's been hard for him. Taehyung's mind has been elsewhere and not contracting. He placed down his pen, feeling the weight of everything on his shoulders. He placed his hands on his face, rubbing his face slightly,

A/N: Taehyung is becoming a real jerk lately! But did he ever stop being one? Lmao! Thanks for reading, and I hope you continue to! Love you!!
