The light went off again, singling that Lindsay was calling me again. I groaned, throwing my head back while getting out of the chair. She called me five minutes ago, and I just sat down. I stumbled past people, trying to get to Lindsay. The last time I wasn't fast, she got onto me. I slid into the room and watched her counting down on her fingers. "You called... again?" I grumbled the last sentence under my breath. "You're too slow. If I call, you should be here within 15 seconds," Lindsay said, not looking at me.

I sighed, slumping my body. "This is the 20th time you've called me," I argued, and she rolled her eyes. "What is it this time?" I asked, "Turn the TV on for me," She mumbled, staring at the small TV in front of her. "What?" I whispered, looking over at the TV and then back at Lindsay. "The remote is right here," I said, grabbing it off the bed inches from her fingers. "Couldn't you have just used the remote?" I asked, raising my eyebrow and leaning my head forward. Lindsay looked at me, "My arms hurt," She groaned, holding her "hurt" arm.

"I can't press the buttons, you know that," she mumbled, looking back at the TV. I stared down at the sleek, black remote, feeling a surge of frustration. "It's just a button. You press that one," I said, my voice tinged with a touch of exasperation. "And what about that arm? The right arm? Does that one hurt?" I argued, crossing my arms. Lindsay looked at me with an offended expression. She crossed her arms and shifted her body towards me. "What? You! To an elderly who is seriously ill and weak? Do you dare say such things?" She spat and walked quickly.

I sighed while rolling my eyes. "You're totally fine. Everything came back normal on your labs, Lindsay. You're too spoiled!" I spat back, not backing down. "What an awful woman!" She raised her voice, throwing her arms in the air. Apparently, they don't hurt anymore. "Oh, you're the devil!" she exclaimed, her voice trembling with fear. Startled, I instinctively took a step back, wondering if she was somehow possessed. What game is she playing? Lindsay was visibly shaken, her whole body trembling with fear, and she avoided making eye contact with me.

"L-Lindsay," I say, trying to calm her down. I can hear footsteps running into the room as Lindsay continues to shout and scream for help. Nures Yuna and Nayoung ran in and pushed me aside, causing me to stumble into an empty bed. My hip was sure going to feel that for a few days. I snapped my head back towards Lindsay to see her holding her heart with one hand and pointing with the other. "This intern! She is horrible! She suddenly started yelling at me, an elderly woman!"

My mouth dropped open at her audacity. Lindsay can't be for real? Yuna glared at me as she straightened herself. "Kim, come with me, now!" Nurse Yuna grabbed my arm, her fingernails pinching into my skin. I got dragged out of the room, still glaring at Lindsay who had a smug expression when no one was looking. She started fake crying again when Nayoung attended to her.

I slowly made my way up the stairs to the filth floor. Doctors and patients were only allowed to use the elevators since they were more critical than interns. I grabbed the railing, letting out a weird breath as I tried to regulate my breathing. I had three more floors to go, so I started climbing again. I got an earful from Yuna and won't get into it. I was hoping I would be giving another patient, but I still had Linsday to care for. I threw so many cusswords in my head when Lindsay asked me to get her chocolate, but it wasn't the right one. "I said I wanted chocolate crunch, didn't I?" Lindsay snapped, shoving the chocolate bar into my chest. "This doesn't look like chocolate crunch." "They didn't sell it in the gift shop downstairs." I placed it on the small table in front of her.

"Even if they didn't have it, isn't this enough?" I asked, pointing at the chocolate. "What are you saying?" Lindsay asked, her glasses lowering on her nose, and she glared at me. "Chocolate without crunch isn't chocolate," She pushed it towards me, and I tried it back. We held each other's gaze as we passed it back and forth. "Just go buy the right one and come back!" She said, going back to writing something on paper. I grabbed the candy and slowly walked out of the room. "Damn it," I grumbled.
