A few meters higher, inside a country house, the atmosphere was no longer at the banquet. The sun was already touching the horizon line, slowly falling to give way to the night. Behind this house stood a beautiful sunset, especially in this green and forest place where this small house lived. This house has experienced extraordinary things. Especially when a young boy came to spend his holidays here, with these grandparents. Usually he could be seen playing ball in the garden with his dog, or in his room, playing with the trains that his grandparents had offered him as a younger man. Or in his grandfather's attic, filled with trinkets of all kinds as usual, to read and reread the books about his grandfather's adventures in Africa.

But that evening, everything seemed quite calm, if not gloomy. If we go to that child's room, we may find that the time is past. The boy in question was sitting on a chair, his head plunged into his arms, which were placed on the desk. There were a few handkerchiefs, probably filled with tears, but the boy seemed quite silent. Not a sob, not a movement was noticeable.

As if to disturb this heavy silence, someone knocked on the door of his room before opening it gently. The boy raised his head towards the door, revealing his beautiful face, although the tears that had flowed and his sad expression spoiled his portrait of a 12-year-old boy.

"Can I join you, Arthur?" asked the voice of a veil man who had made his head appear at the opening of the door, visibly worried for his grandson.
"Of course, grandpa." replied the boy before rising from his office chair. Her grandfather eventually enters the room before coming to sit on the edge of the bed facing the office. He looked at Arthur with a smile, trying to hide his concern.

"Arthur, I'm really sorry about the news that the Bogo Matassalaï told you," said the grandfather, "but I told you, it's not a good idea. Just because you survived vines once doesn't mean you'll survive them a second time. The wisest thing would be to wait until the passage is functional again. Apparently the Bogo Matassalaï found someone who could fix it.

"Grandfather, they told me that the repairs will take at least 60 moons, and I'm not going to wait for 60 moons for the telescope to be repaired to re-enter the passage and return to the minimoys," said Arthur, "I couldn't stand it, and neither could Selenia! 60 moons waiting to be reunited with her! 6 years of living without her, because of M the Evil who destroyed the passage when he ascended into our world! I promised Selenia that we would meet again in 10 moons, as usual! And... and... "

Arthur did not have the courage to continue and began sobbing again. His grandfather got up and tried to console him by taking him in his arms. He started talking again.

"Arthur, if you went through the vines again, chances are Selenia will never get a chance to see you again. The Minimoy people would find themselves without their future king. Your parents could probably die of grief, and I don't want to end my days feeling like I've taken my grandson to his death. Think of everything you could leave behind, the stakes are way too high."

Despite this profound sense of injustice, Arthur knew his grandfather was right. He still remembers the first time the Matassalaï Bogos had made him use the vines for the first time, in order to shrink to a size of 2 millimeters and enter the world of minimoys other than by this passage. And even this memory remained very painful. Helpless, he in turn sat on his bed. He was devastated. If his grandfather had not talked him out of it, if he had done what he wanted, he would surely have done everything to go back. He would have done everything to join Selenia, his beloved minimoy princess. He would love to be able to hug her again, smell her sweet perfume and let her kiss her as only she could. He would also have liked, for once, to do it too, to be able to put his lips on those of Selenia and to breathe all his love into this kiss. Unfortunately, this will not happen for a long time. We had to make a reason.
