As some of you readers will know, I have been rocked since my childhood by Arthur and the minimoys, this childish universe created by Luc Besson and Céline García in which a ten-year-old boy will embark on an adventure in the infinitely small within the garden of his grandfather’s gone to save the house of the latter, and this alongside a beautiful warrior princess and her rather funny little brother.
Like you maybe, the three films of this universe allowed me to dream and imagine new things related to this universe, and all this took more importance when the luck allowed me to read the four novels narrating the epic of Arthur in the world of these little beings measuring two millimeters.
It was thanks to these films and novels that, as a child and thanks to other universes that inspired me, I had imagined a character taking the role of a faithful warrior armed with a hammer and wielding magic (in the manner of the paladins of the video game Warcraft 3) that would accompany our three already existing heroes in adventures that can only be imagined by a child under ten. This is how the prototype for the character of Eldarion was born.
But time passed, and the child I was had started to grow and mature into a young adult. Meanwhile, this childhood character I had imagined was put in a closet of the imaginary and had not been since, so much my classes at primary school, then at college, then at high school, and finally on a campus for failed graduate studies, had finally taken up most of my time.
Then one day, when I was a little over twenty years old, this childhood character reappeared and allowed me to revisit the universe of Arthur and the minimoys. Thanks to this, I was able to pull out this old character from my closet of the imaginary. This old character who, having abandoned him over the years, had finally taken dust. I had therefore set out to dust it and improve it so that I could present it to you in this novel that you have surely finished reading or in the little story dedicated to him on my Wattpad (see the Story of Eldarion).
Whether by drawing, writing his personal story or by looking for a name that would fit better than the one I had given him as a child, I had to restore his coat of arms in every detail, before you can integrate it into a coherent sequel of the three films and get to know it.
And today, I see the fruit of my work: I find with happiness that my now refined childhood character has been rather well received. I still see your comments telling me that you are looking forward to read the rest or that you have appreciated Eldarion throughout this Arthur 4.
So for that, dear readers, I wanted to thank you.
Thank you for giving Eldarion a chance and letting me know that he did not disappoint.
Thank you for allowing her to live and continue her story alongside Arthur, Selenia and Betamèche.
Thanks to Luc Besson and Céline García for making me dream so much that I wanted to create this character in their film and novel.
Thank you for him, quite that simple.
I hope that he will continue to amaze you in his next adventure, in the next novel. A novel that I hope will be on the same level as this one.
Thank you again.
Em-Rock.
