Another person is also soliciting the goddess of the forest, or rather Mother Nature, as humans would say. It was about Arthur, always apprehending the long ordeal that awaits him. He felt better but still had the lowest morale. He was standing with his eyes closed, embracing the great oak tree as he had already done the first time during his initiation with the Bogo Matassalaï. But this time, he did not intend to retake this test of patience, but rather to entrust his distress to this oak and to spend a maximum of time in order to shorten as much as possible the 6 years to wait to be able to return to the minimoys.
It was then that a voice sounded. That of his grandmother asking him to come back. Arthur opened his eyes, again looking at the natural setting in which he had headed to embrace his oak tree in a beautiful morning sun. Then he turned and turned back, towards his grandparents' house.
On the way, Arthur noticed from afar that his parents were outside, in front of a car that his father rented in the absence of his own vehicle, which had gone to pieces twice. They were getting ready to go. Arthur knew that he too was going to leave shortly, which is why he didn’t seem surprised at all. The last time he and his parents were about to leave Archibald’s house, Arthur had tried to protest this hasty departure, because he ardently wished to return to the garden, return to the world of minimoys, and embrace Selenia. This desire is still burning in him, and yet he had to wait much longer than he imagined. And he knew there was no point in waiting here, and that it would be best to wait at his parents' house. This time, there was no need to protest, as there was no reason to delay the departure.
Arthur passed by the garden gnome and stopped there for a second to look at him. He never ceased to think that beneath this porcelain gnome was the base of the passage that would allow him to reach the world of the minimoys, a tiny world nestled at the back of the garden of this house, a world populated by these 2-millimeters humanoids with pointed ears. And among these tiny beings, among the minimoys, was his soulmate, his dulcinea, his only great love. It was both frustrating and distressing for Arthur to find that Selenia was so close, yet out of reach. How would she react when she learns that her beloved prince could not return for so many years? And in Arthur’s case, a question still lingered in his head: Why?
After having worked so hard to save the house of his grandparents, defeating M the Evil twice and ensuring the survival of his princess minimoy and his people, why could Arthur and Selenia not continue to live their love as they see fit? Why should they continue to live on their own while the love they felt for each other pushed them ever more to find themselves side by side? Preferring not to dwell on these negative waves, he looked away and continued on his way.
Arthur arrived at the open door of his grandparents' house. When he entered, his grandmother burst into the entrance:
"Oh Arthur, here you are at last! You are very talented to disappear. We have to know how to look for you!" affirmed his grandmother in a mixture of reproach and relief.
"Sorry grandma. I was meditating in the garden to prepare myself for what was to come." apologized Arthur.
His grandmother smiled at him anyway. She knew what her grandson was thinking, but she preferred to remain silent, for fear of intensifying an already well-opened wound. It was then that a dog came down the stairs leading to the rooms. He came to see his playmate because he knew something was up.
"Yes Alfred." confirmed Arthur to the dog. "I’m going to go this time." When this news was announced, Alfred lowered his ears, looking down. He licked Arthur’s hand as affection.
"Don’t worry, Alfred. I’ll be back, and we’ll both play in the garden, as usual." reassured Arthur by smiling and caressing the dog’s skull.
Seeming to have understood, Alfred barked once and wagged his tail. Then Darkos and Archibald appeared from the drawing room. Despite Arthur’s imminent departure, they could not help but smile at the sight of this brave little man.
