I have never gotten lost. That is something humans do. I have never known what it is like to just wander around aimlessly, just seeing where I would wind up.
If you are never lost, you can't be found. But there is also so much you can't find.
Sure, it's convenient. I always know exactly where I am and what I am doing. The path is clearly marked, and so is what is not on the path.
Humans are not supposed to be on our path. We can observe them from afar, but we aren't supposed to interact with them.
And all of that used to be fine. But now, the humans have shown to me and a small group of others the beauty of being lost. They have shown us all of the art, all of the music, all of the feelings that come from wandering (or, in my case, wondering) around.
I don't want their world to be lost, but to do that they need to stray from the path of destruction they are on. To continue to exist they must change course. As hard as that sounds, adapting is the one thing those on earth have always done.
