Computers seem like humans' attempt to create what we naturally have. An interconnected system of minds intellectually superior to any one of them. If only they knew...

The sharing of information is great. It's part of how my species was able to advance so much. But it won't save them. Computers won't destroy them. But they certainly won't save them.

Humans are being faced with such a huge self-inflicted challenge, but this is not a challenge unique to them. This has happened to many other planets before. Some have triumphed. Some have not. I so desperately want earth to join the ranks of those who succeeded.

After I gave Dashiell the information he needed to save earth, he faced so much resistance. The information humans were sharing on their system of interconnected imitation-minds just wasn't accurate. And so they were killing the one place fit for them to live.

That pushback made me seriously question my decision to try to help the humans. That regret hasn't fully gone away. I still don't know that I made the right choice. I might never know.

Humans aren't inherently terrible or evil, but they created a system that is keeping them from seeing the solution to all their biggest problems. It is absolutely miserable to have to watch from the sidelines, unable to take the risk of interfering.

I just wish the humans could take a step back from their planet and see the bigger picture from my perspective. Everything just seems clearer from back here.
