"Good morning."
"Good morning."
Scorpius glanced at his two parents as they dryly greeted each other the next morning. He didn't see anything. No sparks, no hugs, no kisses, no signs of love. How blind have I been all my life-?
He slammed his hands down on the table and stood up, "What's going on?!"
"Scorp..." Draco stared at him.
"Scorpius, calm down." Astoria set her hands on Scorpius' shoulder, but he only shoved her hands away.
"I don't know what's going on between you two, but something's clearly up! No one will tell me who Y/N Avery is, and--"
"Don't." Draco glared at him, "don't say that name..."
His cold tone immediately shut Scorpius up. It scared him to see his dad like this, but without saying another word, tears escaped his eyes. "Dad... why can't you tell me anything? Who is she?! Why don't you love Mom like any husband would love his wife?!"
"Scorpius..." Astoria looked at him, then looked at Draco.
"It..." Draco looked away sadly, "it has nothing to do with you."
"That's not--!" Scorpius froze.
"Please don't make things hard on him. He's been through things you couldn't imagine."
The look on Draco's face. At the sound of that name, it seemed someone pierced him with a sword. He was in so much pain, and if he weren't as stoic as he was, he would be crying. He constrained himself and sighed, "Fine. Nevermind. I'm going."
Astoria reached to grab him, "Wait, Scorpius!"
Scorpius ran out the door before Astoria could stop him.
"Let him go." Draco replied quietly as Astoria turned back to look at him.
"Draco, I'll go talk to--"
"No need." Draco cut her off, "I'm heading out."
"Where?"
"I need to talk to someone."
Astoria watched as Draco left the house and headed in the direction away from the city, the route he normally takes. She smiled and crossed her arms, "of course you need to go talk to her..."
?!?!??!?!?!??!?!
"Where is he?!" Scorpius paced back and forth near the office. He waited there with the hopes to find his dad when he goes there to work.
"Scorpius? Is that you?" Albus called, "what are you doing here?"
"Do you know where my dad is?"
"Hm?" Albus blinked a few times. "He's not here. He told my dad that he wanted to take some time off today because he needed to talk to someone." .
"Of course he did..." Scorpius gritted his teeth, "I need to go find him."
Albus stared at him, "well, see ya."
"That's it?"
"Yeah. I don't really feel like going around a lot. I'm tired." waved before leaving.
Wait a pain... Scorpius glanced around, then recognized the platinum blonde hair just past the trees. "What's he doing out there?"
He quickly went outside and followed him from a good distance away, making sure to hide every time he glanced back in his direction. Within minutes, he found himself in front of a hidden hideout, a little bit outside the city.
