Saturday Night

"Address, please?" The Uber driver sighed, tapping the steering wheel impatiently as I struggled to stuff Venti's heavy body into the car. Their hair was a mess, and they looked unhappy to be picking up two high school students at 3:30 AM—one of which was clearly drunk.
"Oh—..erm, XXXX Blvd, 202." I grunted as I successfully managed to get Venti to stop moving and push him into the back of the car, quickly climbing in after him and shutting the door.
I opened my mouth again, about to ask Venti what his address was as I'd forgotten but realized that he was too drunk to even walk properly by himself.
Would he even be able to make it inside his house or would he pass out on his front mat?
Leaving him with Childe was a big no since he was already fast asleep on the toilet.
Venti squirmed throughout the whole ride, either clinging to my arm or peeking his head in and out of the window before I pulled him back in.
"Mm...w-*hic*..where we goin'?" He blinked up at me, his cheeks flushed red and his breath smelling of corona and a mixture of other substances.
"My house." I gave him a short reply, one that he could probably process seeing the state he was in.
I'd never seen him at such a low, and vulnerable point before. This was new to me. Usually, Venti was charismatic, and chatty, and always had his cool. He knew what to say at the right times, and scolded those he took it too far.
But now, he was the complete opposite.
Well—...maybe he was still chatty. We pulled up to my driveway by 4 AM exactly, and I practically yanked Venti out of the car as he drunkenly clung onto the seat and waved the driver goodbye as they sped off into the dark.
I rang the doorbell, and my mother answered after a good minute, in her silk night gown with a dried out facial mask glued to her face and a glass of water in her hand.
She yawned.
"Bout time you made it back home...Did you have fun?" She probed, as I dragged Venti inside.I had to pause for a second and think about it before answering with a lie.
"...Yeah, I guess." I mumbled, supporting Venti's weight and propping his body on the couch while I headed in the kitchen to get him some water."Who's that? Your friend?" She asked curiously, taking notice of Venti. She sniffed the air, and squint her eyes and pinched her nose shut with disgust.
"Uh—yeah. His name is Venti. He's in my grade.." I tried to distract myself by pouring Venti a glass of water and looking away from my mother's luring stare.
Maybe it was better to leave Venti at Childe's house. I forgot how much he smelt like weed. My mother was a traveling doctor, and often times wasn't home. She had a keen sense of smell, that came hand in hand with her profession.
I was praying to Celestia at that point that she didn't pick up the on drugs laced in Venti's scent.
I forced water down his throat to help clear his head, and showed him the way to the guest room.
"Nooo.." he whined, wrapping his arms around my neck as I flinched. "I wanna—*hic* sleeepp in youurr room..!" He slurred, bringing his face closer to mine as I shoved my hand against his hot cheek.
