We were currently getting ready for our unveil concert. I wasn't looking forward to it. Especially since I didn't know how it was going to go down, mainly because this would be the first time seeing Starlights since this whole thing. They'd decided that both of our teams Angels and Sirens would each have a cover stage each. We were currently working on a certain song. "So, are we doing heels or no heels?" Aree asked as she held a pair up.
"I think that me and you should wear them as were the oldest and then the others can wear boots." I said to them as I looked at our Maknae. She needed to be protected.
"I can agree with that. Maybe another performance." Jihye said to us and I put an arm around her. We were deciding on Good in Goodbyes as our song. The other team were doing a cover of Rush by Troye Sivan. We were all doing a group cover of Lion by Idle which was going to be really exciting to do. I was getting to do the high note that Minnie. Luckily I get to do it with Hyunjoo. I was lucky enough to do Soyeon's rap. We'd been practicing so much and we could finally do well. Which was going to be exciting to do.
"I'm kind of jealous of you both wearing heels. But I get it. I'm one the Maknae line as well. Even if I am just a month younger Ae." Nemy said to me and I smiled at her.
"I still gotta protect your innocence. You're too young." I said to her and she smiled. That's when we kept dancing and practicing. I think doing this whole thing in heels was the hardest part. But I pushed through. At the end I saw that my foot was bleeding.
"Oh, Ae. I'll be back." Jihye said and that's when she ran to go and get a bandaid for me. Which I took straight away.
"Thank you." I said to her as I put it on.
"I think that shows that you've had enough for today." Aree said to me and I looked at Nemy.
"I know what your going to say and the answer is no. You will not be doing that." She said to me killing my mood that was before our manager came in.
"Aella, I have JYP on the line. They would like to talk to you. It's about your contract with them." He said to me and I nodded and I limped out. Following him into the office. "I'm back with Aella." He said and that's when he left the room.
"Aella, how have you been?" The person on the other end of the line said to me.
"I've been feeling well lately. Especially with our current schedule. How have you been?" I asked them I knew this wouldn't be a friendly conversation but it was to think that it could be.
"I've been well as well. I just had something to say with your contract. As it is stated you can't date under JYP unless it's two years after your debut. In order to come back to us you and Ricky will need to break up. Otherwise you'll need to terminate your contract with us and find another company." He said to me and that was it. My future would be uncertain now. I hated this. I wish I didn't have to choose. This was an impossible decision.
"So what you're saying is I can either go back and break up with Ricky or I can stay with him but be forced to leave?" I asked him making sure I made sense of this.
"Yes. That is what I'm saying." He said to me and that's when I didn't know what to say. But it was too late.
"Then I'll leave. That's my decision." I said to him and I looked outside. Seoah's office was just down the hall. I could ask her if I could start a contract when Startrix was over.
"Are you 100% sure?" He asked me and I nodded.
"I am. I'm sure." I said to him and that's when we wrapped up the call. I then went towards Seoah's office.
"Aella, is everything okay?" She asked me and I saw the worry in her eyes. She was just about to leave.
"No. Yes. I don't know." I said to her and she hugged me.
"Come in let's talk." She said to me and that's when we went into her office and sat down. "What's going on?" She asked me and I looked at her.
"I left JYPE, they wanted me to break up with Ricky if I want to go back." I said to her and she nodded at me taking that in.
"Have you thought about what you want to do next?" She asked me and I nodded at her.
"I was wondering if I could start a contract with MOD after the Startrix contract has ended." I said to her and she looked at me with a smile.
"I was hoping you'd say that. You are a talent that no one should underestimate. I was going to ask you after your first year but now you've come to me. I can give you the contract now." She said to me as she started to look at it.
"I just have one condition." I said to her with a smile and she nodded.
"Anything." She said to me and I smiled at that.
"The other girls get contracts as well. I don't care if we don't all redebut together just as long as we are all together." I said to her and she chuckled at me.
"It's like you read my mind Ae. I had things for them as well. But don't worry. I have plans for you all afterwards you'll be together but not at the same time." She said and I knew what she meant by that. It would be like a NCT / TripleS kind of thing. I liked the sound of that.
"Well I can't wait to find out what it is when that day comes around." I said to her and I read the contract that she gave me. I already preferred it over JYPE. What I liked as well was the debut contract length afterwards. It would be for ten years opposed to 7. We didn't have to worry about that curse. Once I signed it and shook hands with Seoah I then went to the practice room.
"You were gone for a long time what happened?" Nemy asked as I sat down and she hugged me.
"I left JYPE and then I joined MOD permanently." I said to them and that's when Nemy looked at me.
"Then I'm leaving JYPE as well." Nemy said to me with a smile.
"I'll leave YG. Definitely. If it means we'll still be together." Aree said to me and I smiled.
"I will happily leave SM." Jihye said and SM must be bad. Especially if numerous idols were leaving. But if there was a chance we could still be together now matter what. Then I guess we'd all leave our companies. We just had to hope that Katsuki would leave Allart, Hyunjoo would leave S2, Dalrae would leave ATTRAKT, Gueroo and Azumi would leave Yuehua. We just had to hope now.
