Married, and joyous, but quickly getting a little exhausted, from the hour of greeting special guests. She wanted to chat, but there were, so, many people, it was proving a difficult task.
Eugene was helping. Eventually, the greeting was over... it was time for normal conversation. Or... introductions to, people she'd already greeted.
Her mother brought over this, red haired girl, dressed in lovely garments, coloured in intricate embroidery, and actually told her properly who she was. Queen Anna, of Arendale- apparently, Rapunzel's cousin...? Second, cousin?
She lost track of it fast, since the queen began apologising that she'd already said hi but had failed to mention it, and, insisted on shaking Rapunzel's hand again.
Rapunzel took it. Shook.
"You know, I thought it was really really great, seeing a lovely marriage between the two of you- I'm engaged, myself, and you'll have to let me know on some tips on how you remained so calm! I'm so nervous about it, like, so nervous about it, and I just don't know how to do the right thing, like what if I trip or something?? How do you maintain grace in a moment like that? My coronation, went smoothly, at first, thankfully, but you know what happened during the celebration party, I slipped at a chocolate fountain, and wrecked my dress!! And I tell you?? You're all elegant, and wonderful, and celebrated till you do that, and you're just... just mortified," she said, And landed on a very bizarre, stern, shocked face, an eyebrow raised, her face closer, and she only, only stopped shaking Rapunzel's hand, as she finished her sprawling words, with one firm shake.
Rapunzel... nodded. "Um... well... I, actually don't know, I... " she paused. Then went tall, and smiled, and put a hand over the queen and hers hands... "I think, that when you love someone, and you're then and there... it's not going to matter, the mistakes. You're just happy to be with that person... joining with them. So... I wouldn't worry, if there are any. I... I mean you saw our horse," she chuckled.
The girl let out an awkward laugh, then nodded, quickly, " Ha-a, ee'yeah..." she murmured, smirking.
Eugene leant to her ear, "got a bit and some more of your rambunctiousness, ay sunshine...?" he murmured in joke.
"Sh," she shushed playfully. She looked to her cousin queen, who... now looked distracted, like she was looking out for somebody. She then moved away, with a slight noise, in place of 'bye'.
Her mother, was already busy talking to somebody else.
"Hm..." Rapunzel hummed.
"Odd how... quick, they seem to switch up their queens in Arendale... last year, it was what's-her-name icy mc'freeze... now... her?"
"Oh... Arendale..." Rapunzel murmured, the name clicking, "Gosh... everyone's wound me up a bit," she chuckled. "Didn't... make that connection."
"I hope she didn't bring some... weirdo, power- you know? I think you and your family are magnets for the abnormal- and I've been going on to Varian about this; I mean what are the chances your family manage to actually find a magic healing flower? What are the chances your best friend turns out to have it in her to take on the moonstone... what are the chances you're able to take on all that, and handle everything, and then, months later, we get invited to a by all means, innocent little coronation for one of your cousins, and?? She's an ice witch-"
"- not so loud," she whispered, placing her hand on his lips. "Don't know much about erm... Anna... but what I've heard about Elsa- her name is Elsa, not ice witch... she's not bad, and we shouldn't talk about her like that, right...?"
Eugene moved her hand, then shrugged. "Oh! And, also... what are the chances your boyfriend, would just so happen to be the long lost prince of the kingdom that hosted said moonstone? I'm tellin' ya, Sunshine? You? Magnet. Everything weird? Fllliiies to you," he leant close, with his eyes.
She chuckled, and pulled him close by his ruff, "Husband, you mean," she murmured.
He smiled, slowly. They shared a kiss.
They moved, slow, away. She smiled, " What does Varian say, when you tell him all this...?"
"Oh, heeee... not much?? Not much... mostly, talks about whatever he's working on, over me, or... his lack of sleep, or 'stop touching that!' I... you know... kid things," he said, stretching his enunciation.
She chuckled.
"Your highness! We've found the cake!" Called a servant, wheeling it to her. She moved quick, alarmed- probably that talk of chocolate ruining a dress getting to her...
"Well let's get to it then, ri-ight??" Eugene laughed. "Time to cut the cake!"

Cake shared amoung the nobility and other guests, Rapunzel sat, holding Eugene's hand, as she rested her head on her other arm, on the table...
"Tired, huh...?" He spoke, eventually.
She nodded, smirking, "Sorry..." she murmured. "Lots of excitement," she laughed.
"Indeed," he spoke.
She lifted her head, just a bit, to look him in the eyes, "All together...? Pretty perfect, though..."
He laughed... "Even with max, covering the floor in, tar hoofprints...?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Mhm. honestly? A highlight," she grinned, eyes half-lidded.
He chuckled. They stared at each other, contently... till Eugene frowned, and scanned around, "Say... did, you happen to see Cassandra, anywhere...??"
She sat up, straight, and scanned around. "I... did, at my room before it all. And... I glanced her, in the corner, as I walked down the aisle...? But... not since- could be all the excitement, though, gets distracting," she smiled to Eugene.
He nodded, not looking to her.
"...You okay, Eugene...?" she asked gently.
"Me? Oh, sure... just..."
"Hm...?" she prompted.
"...Worried about her. She... still seems... sad...? I don't know if that's the right word for it..." he squinted his eyes.
Rapunzel gave a nod... "I... noticed that too- but... it's... healing, you know...? And I'll bet she's tired. Travelling for... like a year. Finally home."
He nodded. There was a worry, clung to his eyes, that made Rapunzel frown. She took his face, and faced it to her, and smiled.
He gave a smile back. They shared another kiss. "Maybe I'll go find her," she said. "Tired girl bonding?" she chuckled.
He sniffed out a laugh, "Hey, if you wanna risk her wrath, be my guest..." he fell back into his usual demeanour... Rapunzel felt better.
She chuckled, and stood, "I'll see you soon," she said.
"You too..." he said gently. "I'll talk up someone," he smiled.
She gave a nod, and they separated their hands.
She began making her way through a crowd, but... was quickly stopped, at several intervals, by interested people wanting to chat up the newlywed, she now was.
