AN: It's been a minute since I've updated this story! Sorry to anyone who was enjoying it! I'm in the mood to write more of this but my other story will still be my priority for now. I do still plan on finishing this, I was trying to update both stories daily but it was just too hard to write two stories at once. This chapter is also a bit... more intimate than I wanted my first chapter after a break to be but the characters lead and I follow!

Their base hidden in the utility tunnels of the dome was cramped and uncomfortable. Allya was fine with discomfort, it reminded her of home. What she struggled with was the sense of claustrophobia. Her time on Dathomir was spent under the open sky or even in caves and ruins. This was different. They were surrounded entirely by metal and machinery. There was no privacy. As she sat on her small bunk, she had people opposite, above, below, left and right of her. The Nite Owls seemed to have no problem living so close. She hated it.

"That was some fancy fighting." One of them said to her as they ate their rations.

"Right? When she blasted them with lightning!" Another said with a gleeful laugh.

"First time I've ever seen a Jedi in action."

"I'm not a Jedi." Allya said... again.

"Right, right, whatever you are, keep doing it." The Mandalorian said with a dismissive wave.

"Trust me, Jana, she definitely isn't a Jedi. They don't fight like that. They're more... defensive."

"Tch, whatever. She uses their powers still, that's all I mean."

"My powers come from a different place." Allya said before realising she didn't really want to be arguing this. She climbed out of her bunk and headed out. "I'm going to check on Bo-Katan." She said.

She found their leader in a small back room. She had just ended a holo call and now sat on a bench with her head in her hands.

"Problem?" Allya asked, taking a seat beside her.

Bo seemed surprised by her presence and quickly sat up.

"We're still not sure. A Jedi escaped with the Dutchess and Pre Vizsla's cover has been blown. We need to deal with them."

"So, lets go." Allya said.

Bo sighed in defeat. "We've been asked to hold position and be ready to strike again."

Allya frowned. "But this is one of the best units in the Death Watch. They need us."

Bo turned to look at her. Her mind was racing. "I wish it was so easy... We have our orders though."

Allya was about to argue but her mind drifted to her mother. If her mother asked her to hold back, she would trust that it was for a greater purpose. That was what Bo was doing now. It was what she had to do now. She had to trust that there was a greater plan in motion. Really, this was a test. If the Death Watch leadership failed, the Nightsisters didn't lose anything because they never would have been a valuable ally anyway.

Allya nodded with the shared frustration. She wanted nothing more than to jump back into the action. "So we wait?"

"We wait." Bo replied with a sigh.

"I hate this place." Allya replied idly. "Living so close to others... with strangers."

"You don't like the closeness? I think it's cosy..." Bo said, sliding a little closer with a mischievious smirk.

Allya tutted and rolled her eyes with a smirk of her own. "Maybe not always..." She replied quietly. "Depends on the person."

"Oh? So if I wanted to get closer, would that be so bad?" Bo asked, leaning towards her.
