The Royal Family of Arendelle had traveled to the town of Farfoss. A town that was roughly a two day carriage ride, in each direction. The lord of the town had requested a meeting with King Agnarr and Queen Iduna for aid to repair one of their older clock-towers and to safeguard the town from highwaymen and bandits. The highwaymen waited on the paths to and from the town to attack travelers and traders for their valuables. The bandits would just lay siege to the town and pillage and plunder, like the pirates from the seas.
As the King and Queen had a meeting with the lord of the town after the Arendelle convoy arrived at the town, their two daughters played games in the back yard of the estate that the lord had for them to stay in for their visit.
"I'm going to catch you, Anna!" Princess Elsa, the older daughter of the Royal family of Arendelle, exclaimed to her sister.
"Try and catch me Elsa!" Princess Anna, the younger daughter exclaimed back as the two ran in the yard, enjoying the bright sunny afternoon.
The two were playing a classic game to tag, as they ran and dodged each other as they eventually made it further into the town with their game, not paying attention. They were focused on the game and each other. The two would eventually make it into the woods that were on the outskirts of the town as Elsa finally noticed.
"When did we leave the town?" She asked, taking in the surroundings.
Hearing the question, Anna finally noticed as well and did the same as her sister.
They were deep into the woods, not being able to see the edge of the wall that surrounded the town. All that the two were able to see were trees, rocks, and more trees as they turned around having lost their sense of direction from where they came from.
"Which way did we come from?" Anna asked, a little afraid.
"I can't remember..." Elsa said, also getting afraid. "Maybe this way?"
As the two young Princesses walked, unknowingly, further into the forest, nighttime slowly crept and set in along with the clouds in the sky. The way the trees looked reminded the two of the creatures from fairy tails that they have been told by their parents, frightening them even more than they already were. Branches looked like claw hands. The pair eventually made it to the bottom of a cliff that was about four stories tall that peered out from the forest. There was also a slope on the side so they would be able to make it to the top to hopefully find which way they had to go.
"Well, well, well. What do we 'ave 'ere?" A voice spoke, making the two girls jump with Anna getting behind Elsa as they turned to the voice as they saw a man step out from the tree line as he held a crossbow.
"Look like a pair of poppets," Another man stated as a few more then stepped out as well. They wore black to hide in the night, clearly bandits. The two Princesses were scared stiff.
"Why they look familiar?"
"They're the Princesses to the throne of Arendelle."
"So it's time for a ransom?"
As the bandits spoke the clouds in the night sky shifted a bit and moonlight was able to break through for a moment, casting a shadow down upon them. Not off the cliff, but a figure wearing a cloak.
"It's the brat again! Get him!" The first bandit spoke as Elsa looked up at the top of the cliff to see the figure who looked down upon the bandits and them. In a blink, a purple ball of lightning appeared before him as he vanished and was then between the two sisters and the bandits.
The figure moved is arms back as his cloak flourished and then grabbed a knife that was on his belt. He bent his pointer finger as the guard of the knife allowed the metal tool to spin around that finger.
