Progress of Elsa controlling her powers has been very slow as the first winter season after the accident fell upon Arendelle. It has been taking longer than Y/N or Elsa had hoped for her to be able to feel the balance with nature without the girl connecting to the aura of Anna, a consistent reminder of what she did. It also made sense as to why it has been taking so long with the fear of almost losing a loved one.

Anna on the other hand still did not understand the sudden change in Elsa to 'focus on her studies.' She still had Y/N as a playmate, which she was thankful for, but he is not her other half. Y/N is not Elsa.

It was a middle of the morning as a very light snow fell onto the snow covered grounds as she looked out a window. She giggled and did what she did everyday, go to Elsa's room to see if she wanted to play.

"Elsa?" Anna asked as she knocked upon she sister's door a series of times as put her hands together.

"Do you wanna build a snowman? Come on, let's go and play," Anna started to sing before she turned and fell with her bottom hitting the ground. "I never see you anymore."

Anna then got onto her hands and knees to try and look under the door, unable to see much. "Come out the door. It's like you've gone away."

Anna then stood back up as she thought about how she played with two dolls, with one of each looking similar to each sister. "We used to be best buddies. And now we're not," Anna continued to sign as she remembered thinking the same thing with the dolls and fell back onto the ground of the thrown room in frustration. "I wish you would tell me why."

Anna then tried peering through the keyhole of the handle on Elsa's door. "Do you wanna build a snowman?" Anna continued as she put her mouth up to the keyhole. "It doesn't have to be a snowman."

Elsa always listened to the song that Anna would sing. Sometimes she has come close to opening the door to her room and go with her, but would remember what happened on that day.

"Go away, Anna," Elsa told her, even though it pained her to do so.

Anna, who did not know that Elsa was hurting when saying that, was also hurt. "Okay, bye," Anna finished as she turned away from the door, disappointed and went back to her room.

Y/N had heard the song from Anna and Elsa's response to it as well. Most of the time, Elsa has not said anything back to Anna when she has sung in the past, so he knows that today had been a more challenging one for Elsa to not be with her sister.

Once the door to Anna's room had been closed, Y/N went out of his room to check on Elsa. Upon reaching Elsa's room, he knocked on her door.

"Anna, please," Elsa responded, thinking that it was her sister again.

"It's Y/N, Elsa," He added.

There was no sound for a moment before he heard footsteps on the other side of the door as it then opened and he was pulled inside by Elsa, who then closed the door quickly. She knew why Y/N was there as she pulled him into a hug. She knew that Y/N checking on her after responding to Anna's song had become a habit for him, one that she always appreciated.

"Are you okay?" Y/N asked Elsa, as the two were still in each other's embrace.

Elsa parted from the hug, but still held onto Y/N's hands as they looked into each other's eyes. Y/N could see that Elsa was still saddened, but not as much as before.

"I'm better," The girl replied as she started to pull Y/N to look out of the room's window with her. "Stay with me?"

"Always," Y/N told her as they were then at the window as the two pulled themselves up to look out of it. The two saw part of the castle, that the window overlooked, and part of Arendelle. There was also the nature of the land that surrounded the kingdom.
