The ride toward Winter's apartment is obviously quiet. Despite Karina driving her motorcycle and the strong night wind that hits both of their body, Winter can sense the presence of tense in between them.
Karina is obviously angry, and she doesn't want to admit it.
They stopped at the red lights for a moment, and Winter couldn't help but hug the slim waist of the artist tighter. She doesn't want Karina to be angry at her, or not her entire project will be ruined because the emotions in her change.
When they reached the apartment and Karina already park her bike by the road, Winter gets off before handing the helmet to the artist. Face is apologetic and scared, Winter didn't take her first step towards the entrance at all.
"Why are you still standing here?"
"Would you like to stay?", Winter suddenly confessed. Her eyes try to look somewhere else other than Karina's face, and her feet move into a nervous movement.
"It's pretty late, and you know-"
"I'm not afraid of the dark, Winter. I'll be fine"
Seeing how Karina cuts off her words, Winter is more than sure that the artist is mad at her, and she hates it. Winter then held the hem of Karina's jacket, eyes looking at the ground, trying to sound desperate.
"Can you please stay?", she said.
The artist was hesitant for a moment, looking from Winter then to her bike. Should she go, or should she stay? It wasn't a problem for her to stay, but she don't want to stay there either. Winter already drives her crazy tonight, and the artist don't want to ruin the strange relationship they had.
"Give me five reasons why should I stay", Karina stated, now looking at Winter's crown top while the younger girl still avoid eye contact. "I'll listen and try to reconsider", she continued.
"First, I'm afraid of being alone-"
"You lived here alone pretty long enough, Winter. You ain't afraid", Karina cuts her again, making Winter sigh lightly in defeat. But she still doesn't want to give up.
"Second, it's almost twelve and you yourself is a woman. The darkness should be dangerous for you as well", the younger girl continued and this time, Karina keep her silence.
"Third, it will rain soon. I saw lightning behind you just now-", Winter's words were cut with a loud sound of thunder, and the artist thought this might be a big trouble. Raining while riding her bike sure is a problem.
"Four, I have hot chocolate upstairs. Would you like some?", finally the younger girl had the courage to look up, meeting the artist's curious eyes who still waiting for her final reasoning.
"Fifth, I want to be with you tonight", Winter then let out a single tiny smile.
But Karina respond none, and Winter was sure enough that the artist wasn't in the mood to stay with her any longer.
