Karina kept thinking about Aeri's words while rolling her wheelchair towards the kitchen. She grabs a bottle of cold water from the fridge to drink it. Aeri's words stuck inside her head for hours.
"You are... falling... for Winter"
"You are falling... for Winter"
"You're falling for Winter!"
"Gosh, Aeri! Get out of my mind!", Karina said in disgust, swatting the front of her face, trying to make the thoughts disappear.
She then turns her head towards her friend on the couch, sleeping soundly, her mouth slightly agape. Gosh, that girl is supposed to care for Karina, not sleep like that.
As the tattoo artist gulped down another sip of water, the doorbell rang, and Karina automatically turned her head over the front door. Aeri, who was now sleeping, also awakened by the sound.
"Who is that?", Aeri asked in her sleepy voice towards Karina, but Karina couldn't hear it.
The sound of someone inputting the passcode for the door was heard, and soon, the front door opened, revealing Winter with her cute smile. Behind her is her friend, Ningning. Winter's eyes immediately caught Karina's, who was looking at her with a startled expression.
"Hi, Rina", the younger girl greeted with her smile, and Karina couldn't help but smile back.
"Hi", she replied with a small smile.
Winter and Ningning slowly entered the apartment after pulling out their shoes. Ningning was the one who walked past Karina first after greeting her with a friendly hand wave. She makes her way right toward her sleepy girlfriend on the couch.
Winter smiled again at the tattoo artist, who was still in her kitchen. She walked closer before slowly kneeling down right in front of Karina's wheelchair on her knees.
"Are you hungry?", the younger girl asked with a bright smile.
"Not really"
"You want me to cook something light? Even though I wasn't that good at it?", Winter asked, leaving Karina in her thoughts. She wasn't that hungry, really. The food Aeri brought this morning was too much for her and her friend to finish everything up. But the thoughts of eating Winter's homecooked food weren't that bad either.
"I'll be fine for a toast", the artist said before the younger girl nodded her head happily, getting back up from her position before leaving a soft peck on the artist's head crown.
Winter walked towards her tabletop, pulling out two pieces of bread from the packaging and later putting it inside the toaster. She then just stands beside it, and her eyes never leave Karina.
"Can you stop looking at her like you are madly in love? Karina will be extremely flustered, my friend", Ningning said with a scoff after watching her friend's actions for a while.
