Scene 6
Gil: alright gang..we know our plan! Now let's move out! Remember 3 days!
(The team that are searching head out)
(Marlin slowly starts to wake up..he slowly opens his eyes and looks around...)
Marlin: (heavy breathing) huh..what? Where am I? (Looks around and doesn't recognize where he is...) Nemo! Dory! (Starts swimming around) oh no...the tide...Nemo! Dory! (Sees some other fish by) hey can you help me?
Grey fish: what do you need?
Marlin: did a rip tide pass through here? I got separated from my family
Grey fish: there was no rip tide here
Marlin: can you tell me where I am...I don't recognize this place
Grey fish: (rolls his eyes) you and all the other tourists, this is Hawaii, one of the most beautiful places in the ocean
Marlin: wait...did you say...Hawaii?
Grey fish: what and your deaf now too? (Swims off)
(Marlins eyes widen as he looks around...this really was Hawaii...where he grew up...all his memories ran though his head...this was a great place just as he remembered but he had to get back to his son...and everyone else.)
Marlin: excuse me? (Fish swims by) excuse me? (another fish swims by) hello? Somebody?! (A group of rainbow fish stop)
Red fish: yes sir?
Marlin: listen...I got here by a rip tide and I don't know how to get back to the drop off
Blue fish: the drop off?! You're from the drop off?
Yellow fish: right in the open view? Amazing!
Marlin: yes it's amazing, but I've been separated from my son, how do I get back?
Orange fish: well we can't really help you there, no ones ever been to the open view...well except for one fish...
Marlin: do you think they could help me?
Green fish: she might be able to, she said she lived in the open view for awhile, she hasn't been back but maybe she could help
Marlin: do you know where I can find her?
Purple fish: go through the path of seaweed, she lives by the anemones so be careful
Marlin: oh I live in an anemone so it won't bother me
Red fish: good to know, good luck! I hope she can help you!
Marlin: do you know her name by any chance?
Yellow fish: no, she doesn't come out much, never caught her name
Marlin: thank you..I really appreciate it
Blue fish: I hope you get back to your son!
Marlin: (says to himself) I hope so too..
(Scene shifts to Nemo and the search team)
Nemo: so..what happened to you guys after I went back to the ocean?
Gil: well kid...after you went back safely to the ocean, we managed to break the Aqua scum so the dentist would have to put us in plastic bags...and we eventually rolled out into the ocean...but we didn't know how to get out of our bags so for a whole year we swam around trying to break free and then we were picked up by the marine institute and they took care of us and realized us back...they just realized us a couple days ago..and now we found you
Bloat: that story doesn't sound exciting now that you said it out loud
Gil: I didn't say it was an exciting story
Nemo: well whatever the story, it's great to see you guys
Gil: we missed you too shark bait
Dory: shark bait?
Nemo: it's their nickname for me
Gil: your...dory?
Dory: yup! I helped Marlin find Nemo and I was lost myself just a month ago
Gil: really? Lots of fish are getting lost now
Nemo: (faces down) Gil..do you think we'll find him?
Gil: of course we will, your dad didn't give up on you and we won't give up on him
Dory: did he make you feel better cheeko?
Nemo: yeah...but then the rip tide...
Bloat: feel better about what?
Nemo: well...he told me about my mom...for the first time
Flo: what? That was the only time you heard about her!
Nemo: yeah, I don't blame him though...it was hard for him...Where are you guys going to go after we find him?
Gil: well...we didn't really think about that...we're just swimming by but now we have a mission
Nemo: I hope he's not too worried...what if he swam off in another direction?
Gil: we can't think about the negatives kid, we will find him, I'm sure he's waiting for someone to find him...he knows you would do the same for him, speaking of which, are you picking up anything Bailey?
Bailey: ooooo...not yet...
Hank: if I knew it was gonna be this far, I would've just stayed back
Dory: oh come on hank it's not that bad
Hank: I just think it's a little crazy, we just met this fish and he claims Marlin was pulled through the west, how can that be for sure?
Nemo: his names Gil and I trust him...
Gil: and rip tides only move in one way..so it's the only way he could be
Dory: pardon him, he hasn't lived in the ocean much
Hank: thanks for putting that out there
Bloat: don't feel bad, I'm not from the ocean either
Hank: are you from an aquarium?
Flo: more like from a fish tank
Hank: wow..that's..I mean wow, that's an even smaller space than an aquarium
(They have a conversation off to the side)
Nemo: it's so strange...to think, it's reversed, now I'm the one trying to find him
Gil: it's strange but things happen in the ocean, but don't you worry about him, you've got one tough dad
(Scene changes back to Marlin)
Marlin: turn left here...through the reef and then the path of seaweed? No, come on, I've lived here! How do I get there? (He looks around but then something catches his eye...the view...the view he once took coral too..it was also the place where they got married...they never wanted to leave Hawaii but they had wanted a more family place for their children.)
(Flashback)
(This takes place 6 months before the events opening scene of finding nemo)
Marlin: you know coral? I'm excited we're doing this! Moving out of here to raise a family!
Coral: believe me it's a surprise to myself as well, I didn't think I'd leave this place
Marlin: and you didn't think you'd marry me either but you did!
Coral: (rolls her eyes) yes I did...and I'm glad
Marlin: I'm very happy...I know I was kinda childish at the time we met but I think you've brought out the better side of me
Coral: I accomplished my goal then, but Marlin...are you sure you want to leave all this? Our families..the view..everything
Marlin: it'll be great for us! Try something new! A new adventure! It'll be our adventure!
Coral: I'll have to warn you, it's not going to be easy for me
Marlin: sweetheart once we have our children we'll be nothing but busy, the homesickness will be gone!
Coral: we will take our kids here one day won't we? Show them where mom and dad grew up
Marlin: of course! We can do anything! I promise you coral, I will give you and our children the best life!
(End of flashback)
(He swims over to the view, he thinks about what would have been like if they hadn't have left this place...coral would still be there and Nemo would have lots of brothers and sisters...he regretted ever moving..)
