(Marlin was snapped out of his thoughts when a bunch of fish swam by)
Marlin: wow, Hawaii was never this crazy last time I was here (he continues to search for the seaweed path) huh...I wonder if this is it (he swims through it and sees it's a much darker part of Hawaii...) um hello? Is anyone here?
Hermit crab: what'd you doing down here?
Marlin: I'm looking for someone who could help me
Hermit crab: help you? Don't tell me  you're a tourist
Marlin: no I mean not really, I grew up here and I moved away
Hermit crab: things have changed around here, fish come from everywhere trying to visit the "most beautiful part of the ocean" it's over population of you ask me
Marlin: I don't wanna be here any longer but I can't find my way back, a group of rainbow fish told me some fish knew how to take me back
Hermit crab: well good luck with that, the seaweed path is a long way, I've never seen anyone
Marlin: well you do live in a shell
Hermit: are you calling me a hermit?!
Marlin: but aren't..nevermind
Hermit: anyways good luck and don't die
Marlin: thanks? (Swims away) boy some fish
(He swims and tries to get through the darkest part and sees a little bit of light...he sees..seaweed.)
Marlin: yes! The seaweed path! It took me all day but I finally found it! I'm coming back Nemo!
(Scene changes back to the search team)
Gil: how are we doing on that echolocation bailey?
Bailey: ooo...still nothing yet
Hank: are you sure we're going the right way?
Dory: I'm a little with hank on this one..bailey would've picked something up by now
Gil: you know we're not going to find him at this very second, it could take a few days that's why we all agreed on 3
Hank: (whispers) says the one who's lived in a fish tank his whole life
Dory: hank!
Gil: you think you can do better? Then go ahead
Hank: huh?
Gil: go ahead, lead us to nemos dad
Hank: um..well..fine! (Starts leading the way)
Nemo: Gil what'd you doing?
Gil: just letting others take the lead
Nemo: hank! Let Gil lead! We have to fine my dad!
Hank: hey I helped dory find her parents! I can help find your dad too!
Bloat: come on now we're wasting time, why don't you both lead?
Gil: well fine, the sooner we find your dad the sooner we'll all be away from these fish
Nemo: you mean...you don't want to stay..?
Gil: oh Nemo it's not that it's..
Nemo: (sighs and swims ahead)
Hank: real smooth
Gil: well if you weren't-
Flo: alright stop! Just do what bloat said and work together on this! They do have a point Gil you spent the same amount of time as us in the fish tank...are you sure you know where you're going?
Gil: what is this? Question Gil day? I know my around, I lived in the ocean before the fish tank! If Nemo trusts me, then that's that...shark bait do you trust me?
Nemo: of course I do...
Gil: well then it's settled!
Nemo: let's just find him...because you obviously want to leave...
Gil: shark bait...I really didn't mean...
Nemo: if you didn't mean it why did you say it?
Gil: (sighs) look I don't know what we'll do after we find your dad, but you have to understand..we helped you get back home...we all have lives of our own now
Dory: go easy Gil, he only found out about his Mom
Gil: what?
(Scene changes back to Hawaii to Marlin, he follows the seaweed path, it takes awhile but then he is amazed by how many sea anemones there are...)
Marlin: this is what the seaweed path lead me to? Hello? Is anyone here? (Silence) please...anyone
Voice: go away, you're not welcome here
Marlin: wait! Are you the fish that's been to the open view?
Voice: (hesitates) what about it?
Marlin: I've been separated from my family and don't know how to get back
Voice: I can't help you...I'm never going back to the open view
Marlin: huh? What? Why?
Voice: I'm not going back
Marlin: please, where are you? Let's talk about this please! My family-
Voice: oh family! (A fish comes out of the sea anemone) I had that taken from me...
(Marlin tries to get a closer look but he fish is at a distance he can't make it out and the fish swims closer)
Voice: but I bet your family misses you and that must be bad but I really can't help you
Marlin: (tries to swim closer) please!
Voice: no! Stay away from me! (Tries to hide face)
(Marlin gets a closer look...this fish was a clownfish that looked familiar...even as it tried swimming away...he knew...and then he saw it! A gash on the side of its face...and when the fish saw marlins face...it too...stared.)
Marlin: it can't be...
Fish: (swallows) M-Marlin?
Marlin: coral?
Coral: but...how can it be?
Marlin: you were killed by that barracuda...
Coral: what? I thought...you were...
(They both stare at each other and smile a little bit, they both are confused of what they're seeing but also overjoyed to learn their significant other has been alive for all these years.)
