Sirius Black had never been one to hold back on anything. He was the life of the party, always up for a good time and never afraid to speak his mind. But when it came to Remus Lupin's younger sister, Y/N, Sirius had been keeping a secret.

It had happened at the end of the previous school year. Sirius and Y/N had been talking at a party, and one thing led to another. Before he knew it, Sirius found himself kissing his best friend's little sister.

For months, Sirius had been carrying the weight of this secret on his shoulders. He knew that he had made a mistake, but he didn't know how to make it right. He couldn't bear the thought of losing his friendship with Remus over something so stupid.

One day, Sirius finally mustered up the courage to tell Remus the truth. They were sitting in the common room, surrounded by their friends. James Potter and Peter Pettigrew were playing a game of wizard chess, and Lily Evans was buried in a book.

"Remus," Sirius said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I need to talk to you about something."

Remus turned to him, a curious look on his face. "What is it?"

Sirius took a deep breath. "Mate, I kissed your sister."

Remus froze. The color drained from his face, and his eyes narrowed. "What?" he said through gritted teeth.

Sirius swallowed hard. "I'm sorry, Remus. It was a mistake. It meant nothing. I just couldn't keep it from you anymore."

Remus stood up from his chair, his fists clenched at his sides. "How could you do that, Sirius? You know how protective I am of Y/N. And to think that you, of all people, would take advantage of her like that..."

"I didn't take advantage of her," Sirius protested. "We were both drunk, and it just happened. I swear, it didn't mean anything."

"That's not the point!" Remus shouted. "You broke my trust, Sirius. You knew how much Y/N means to me, and you still went behind my back and did this. I don't even know what to say."

Sirius hung his head in shame. He knew that he had messed up big time. He had let his own selfish desires get in the way of his friendship with Remus, and he didn't know how to fix it.

"I'm sorry, Remus," he said again. "I know I messed up. I just...I don't know what to do to make it right."

Remus sighed heavily and ran a hand through his hair. "I don't either, Sirius. I need some time to think about this."

With that, Remus stormed out of the common room, leaving Sirius to face the wrath of his friends. James and Peter had stopped their game of chess and were now staring at Sirius in shock.

"What the hell were you thinking, Padfoot?" James said, his voice low and dangerous. "You know how protective Moony is of his sister."

"I know, I know," Sirius said, his voice barely audible. "I just...I couldn't help myself."

Lily looked up from her book, her eyes narrowed. "That's not an excuse, Sirius. You need to fix this. And fast."

Sirius nodded, feeling more ashamed than he had in a long time. He knew that he had a lot of work to do if he wanted to make things right with Remus and Y/N.

Over the next few weeks, Sirius did everything he could to make amends. He apologized to Remus again and again, and promised that he would never do anything to hurt Y/N

Y/N was still unaware of what had happened between her and Sirius. Remus had decided not to tell her, wanting to spare her the pain and embarrassment of knowing that his best friend had kissed her without her consent.

But despite Remus's best efforts, the news eventually got out. It started with a rumor here and there, whispered in the hallways and behind closed doors. But soon enough, it had spread like wildfire throughout the Hogwarts community.

Y/N had been walking to class one day when she heard a group of girls giggling and whispering her name. She stopped in her tracks, feeling a knot form in her stomach.

"What are you guys talking about?" she asked, trying to sound casual.

One of the girls turned to her, a sly smile on her face. "Oh, nothing much. Just something about Sirius Black and a certain someone's little sister."

Y/N felt her cheeks flush with embarrassment. She knew exactly what they were talking about, and she couldn't believe that it had become common knowledge.

"Please, just leave me alone," she said, her voice cracking. She turned and ran down the hallway, tears streaming down her face.

When she got back to her dormitory, she slammed the door shut and collapsed onto her bed. She couldn't believe that Sirius had done this to her, and she couldn't believe that everyone knew about it.

Remus found her there a few minutes later, and his heart broke at the sight of his sister's tears.

"Y/N, I'm so sorry," he said, sitting down next to her on the bed. "I didn't want you to find out like this."

Y/N shook her head, her sobs coming harder now. "How could he do this to me, Remus? I trusted him. I thought he was my friend."

"He is your friend, Y/N," Remus said, putting a comforting arm around her. "He just made a mistake. A big one, yes, but he's still our friend."

Y/N wiped her eyes and sat up, her anger and hurt bubbling to the surface. "I can't believe you're defending him, Remus. He betrayed me. He betrayed our friendship."

Remus sighed heavily. "I'm not defending him, Y/N. I'm just saying that we need to hear him out. He's sorry for what he did, and he wants to make it right."

"I don't want to hear it," Y/N said, her voice cold. "I don't want anything to do with him ever again."

Remus knew that it was going to take a lot of work to repair the damage that Sirius had caused. He was determined to make things right, but he knew that it was going to be a long and difficult road.

For the next few weeks, Remus tried his best to mediate between Sirius and Y/N. He encouraged Sirius to apologize and to make things right with Y/N, but he also respected Y/N's wishes and didn't force her to talk to Sirius if she didn't want to.

In the end, it was Sirius who took the first step. He showed up at Y/N's dormitory one evening, his eyes filled with remorse.

"Y/N, I'm so sorry," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I never meant to hurt you. I know that what I did was wrong, and I just want to make things right between us."

Y/N looked at him, her eyes cold and distant. "I don't know if I can forgive you, Sirius," she said. "You hurt me in a way that I never thought possible. But I appreciate your apology."

Sirius nodded, his eyes downcast. "I understand."
From that moment on, Sirius was determined to prove to Y/N that he was truly sorry for what he had done. He went out of his way to avoid her at first, not wanting to make things worse, but gradually he began to reach out to her again, showing her small acts of kindness and respect.

Y/N was still guarded around him, but she couldn't deny that she appreciated his efforts to make amends. Over time, their friendship began to heal, and Y/N found herself forgiving Sirius for his mistake.

It wasn't easy, and there were still moments when Y/N felt angry and hurt, but she knew that Sirius was truly sorry for what he had done. And in the end, that was enough.

Remus watched the two of them with a sense of relief. He had been worried that their friendship was irreparably damaged, but seeing them together now, he knew that they would be okay.

And as for Sirius, he knew that he had a lot of work to do to repair his reputation around Hogwarts. But he was willing to do whatever it took to make things right with Y/N and to earn back the trust of his friends.

Because in the end, he knew that they were the only family he had left.
