[First Meeting or a Reunion??]

You were nothing but an old friend of his. One of the three friends he had left...
You've heard that he was in the Tenryou Commission and was one of the best detectives in the business, he was always quick on his feet, and could sense danger miles away. So it was quite a shock when you overheard one of the detectives that knew Heizou say he was claimed as missing towards a blonde traveler.
Intending to learn more, you decided to follow the two.
After wandering and following you say them stop at a bandit camp, you equiped your bow before you heard a familiar voice.
"Gentlemen, gentlemen, perhaps we can talk this out? I mean we are all civilizatied here."
Your teeth grit as your blood pressure raised. Though you thought this blistering rage had disappeared, it only seemed to gotten worse as you kept hearing his voice. You witnessed as the traveler beat up the bandits before setting Heizou free.
Just as he stepped from the wooden cage, you decided to take your leave.
But even though you left the scene before anyone saw, the detective turned his head towards your direction.

[When he realized he still had feelings for you]

You walked back to the agency as you squeezed the red plush Heizou gave you before he left. The memory of his soft smile and laugh only made you want to throw the plushie away. You ventured to the Grand Narukami Shrine, praying to not meet Heizou again. But by pure "luck" you saw Heizou and the Traveler talk to one of the prisoners sent there for duties. You and Heizou's gazes landed in each other as he seemed to be happy to see you but that smile vanished as pure rage was written on your face. You stormed out. Heizou watched you as he wanted to chase after you but he knew he had business to attend with the traveler.
"Later. I can talk to them later...." He thought he continued his business.
After that Heizou walked the Inazuma streets looking for you until he saw you talking to Thoma. "Thank you Thoma, I really appreciate it." You said
"Haha it's no problem N/n, Im glad I could help you." Thoma smiled, " Say want to come to the teahouse and play a game of hot pot?"
Heizou watched from afar as he felt his heart ache. He too thought the feelings for his old companion were dead but there he was... The feeling of love for Y/n... But did you feel the same?

[Confession successful or too late...]

The entire month Heizou tried to talk to you as he constantly chased after you before you disappeared into the crowds but he knew you better than anyone else. He knew where you'd go.
You walked to the outskirts of the city as Heizou chased you. "Y/n!Please let's just talk for once!" He pleaded as he ran after you. "You have five seconds." You say as you stopped.
"What?"
"Five seconds to say what you apparently so badly want to tell me." You said as you glanced back at him.
"Y/n, I'm so sorry I left. I should've told you before hand.. That way I could've taken you with me. I've loved you ever since we first met. Please forgive me Y/n." Heizou said as his voice was horse and dry but filled with emotion.
You stayed silent as you had no idea what to say.... The only thing you could do was feel a tight hug placed around you by the self proclaimed detective himself. "I'm sorry I left you."He spoke softly as tears rolled down your eyes. You hugged Heizou back as the sun set upon the both of you...
